This petition is to remove Marvin Williams as mayor of Elberta, Alabama for his blatant abuse of power in the firing of Brandon Thompson. Brandon was fired for driving his patrol car with one low beam headlight out, voiding a ticket, and a minor insubordination. Currently the headlight systems on patrol cars such as Brandon's are under a recall from Dodge for an overheating headlight connector.
Brandon is a model citizen and officer for the small town, and has done numerous things to benefit the community including organizing a "Don't Text and Drive" demonstration for the local high school. He is a volunteer firefighter and a man with high morals and family values.
Please, don't let this mayor tarnish the solid reputation of Officer Thompson. Remove him from his mayoral seat and reinstate Brandon Thompson and one of Elberta's finest!
