Remove Markley Dennis

Judge Dennis should NOT have allowed the friend of the defense attorney to be on the jury !

Not to mention he allowed a personal friend of the Defense Attorney to be on the jury. The juror disclosed this information and the Prosecution objected, yet he still allowed it!

I have followed this case from the beginning , and things have seemed very off and strange to me since this judge has taken over. Especially when he made the prosecutor hurry with a statement and take a seat because she was taking to long.

The judge did so many things that absolutely crossed. ethical boundaries of law!

Recuse yourself, judge. Heather deserves justice.

This trial was a sham! We have Judge Markley Dennis a friend of the defendants lawyer efendants father sitting as Judge. He needed to recuse himself. Judge Dennis approved a friend of the defendants lawyer to be a juror. The state asked for his removal, which the Judge denied. This friend of the defendants lawyer was also the foreman of the jurors. It is indicated that he is one of two voting not guilty. Gee, what a surprise! Of all the citizens to be called, why did the judge accept a friend who is also a lawyer? Seems a bit stacked! In the Prosecution's closing arguments, this Judge told her to hurry along. He had not set any time limits prior to the closing arguments. She was at the 60 minute mark. Judge Dennis stepped down from the bench, walked over and shook the hand of the defendant the day the case had been given to the jury! There are pictures all over the web verifying this! This judge MUST be removed from this case! He demonstrated unprofessional actions and behavior from the second he failed to recuse himself throughout the trial. This retrial date must be set when another judge is available to try this case. How can SC show the nation how much disregard they have for our justice system by allowing the above mistakes? After watching this case live and seeing the judge shake hands with a person on trial a and knowing that he is friends with the defendants family, I hope a new judge is assigned to this case!

The judge is a friend of the accused and a jury member is a friend is the defense attorney. This is unacceptable. The judge should also be charged for not stepping down from this case and allowing the juror to remain on the panel.

Based on the discovery above declaration, I feel that Judge R. Markley Dennis Jr. should revise himself.

He allowed for a juror that had a relationship with the defense attorney. Now there has been a mistrial. Telling the state to "wrap it up" during closing was unprofessional and showed disdain while a jury was present.

This is ridiculous that he has been allowed to preside over this case. His actions over the last week during the trial have been abhorrent. What judge shakes the hand if the defendant during the trial?!??? And also allows friends of the defense attorney on the jury???

I do not think its lawful or fair for a judge to be presiding over such a serious case as a missing, possibly kidnapped, and most likely murdered young woman when he knows the family of the defendant. I also believe it to be unjust and blatantly wrong to allow a friend of the defendent's attorney to sit on the jury. Completely outraged.
