Remove Joe Lapia from Manor Borough

We lived here for ten years, then built in PT, we would never build in Manor due to all of the above comments, increased cost, contractor harassments, All contractors hate manor and WILL charge you more for living here. not worth the aggravation and higher cost. when we moved here it was a great community. Nice park, movies in the park, and many other activities. There's nothing here anymore, we are glad that our kids are in PT now. I own and operate the Manor Grille, almost fifteen years, each year gets worst. This Manor council has no interest in any well being of any business here, years back they would check in to see if all is good. this council has tried to close us for any reason. I put a little fund raiser flag out on Saturday mornings for three hours, and was threatened to be shut down. But there's no code enforcement in manor???? Our sewer line collapsed and was having it replaced, Manors office secretary needs to inspect our grease trap, why. But there's no code enforcement in Manor??? The house behind the grille had a fire and destroyed it. manor council was great to kick me while down, losing the house, running a restaurant during covid, going broke to keep employee's. and Counsel bills me for $14,000.00, so I don't abandoned this property that my business is on, and after house cleaned up had to submit a list of items that were going to be stored there. but there's no code enforcement in manor. I spread rock behind this same house, now I need to explain what the rocks are for. but there' no code enforcement in manor. Council has individual departments that are assigned to each VOTED member, in the past council would take care of their department, and the office secretary did paper work, now council does nothing but put their responsibility to the office secretary to do, which keeps them farer and farer out of touch, and not knowing what's going on here. As pretty much a life long citizen of Manor I have never seen it in such a mess since Joe jas been in office. There was never a Borough manager before he was appointed the position. Living here and watching old Manor decay while hes been manager is awful. Try selling a house, hes a nightmare. Try doing improvements, hes even a bigger nightmare. Since when has he received an engineering degree to be able to makeup his rules for either? Why is he allowed to sign off on paperwork when something needs finalized? Isn't that Jason's job who is the one who issues the permits? With all the rental properties in the area, we have no occupancy permits for units, so you never know who is living in these places. I brought that up to him years ago and being a woman he did nothing but make condescending statements and was told the wheels of justice take a long time. It's been 15 years since I approached him about that. I would bet my bottom dollar he is taking kickbacks for what he let's slide for some people and harasses others. It's time for him to go, and if hes not going then Manor council needs to be replaced. Council, it's time for you to do your job and what's right for the community.

We have been there. He does not even understand zoning laws he tries to enforce. I saw him wait two 2 hours in line to vote. Was he on the clock? I did not get paid to vote. Did WE pay him?

Joe is condescending, downright rude and completely unethical. Corrupt to the core. If Council doesn’t terminate Him and decides instead to condone his behavior, they are as unethical as he is and need out. I applaud whomever started this petition.

I live near him, lucky me, looking to move, he runs manor, council is lazy and he knows it. He's a law suit waiting to happen. Penn township wouldn't hire him, they know better, manor needs to learn this, Fire Him and deport him out of manor. this neighborhood wants him gone. this council needs to go also. don all talk, dave, ralph, Brian, you all keep talking about it do it Fire him now bruce go with him.

for everyone that works for joe, Borough, office, police, Please council. fire him. he treats everyone like crap, this is the worst place to work. wash your own truck, he's a prick, his life must suck so he takes it out on everyone else. we see how he treat residents. he needs to go.

As a worker in the area it is an absolute nightmare to work in manor. Dealing with Joe and his “I’m always right mentality” is always controversial. I feel bad for everyone that lives in manor and needs work done where Joe gets involved because prices immediately go up. That’s not fair to them at all just because he feels like he has all the power and makes this soooo complicated. Several jobs I’ve been on were Joe and the costumer have gotten into arguments. He’s a joke and his time needs to be over.

Make Manor great again He has harassed almost every local business in Manor borough . He has degraded Women So many times it’s uncanny (the stories keep piling up) Manor grill which is a great establishment in the borough has been harassed so much by him it’s unreal. The President and the rest of Council need to wake up and remove him from office this used to be a nice borough . All these restrictions that have been approved need to be pulled . Some of the crazy issues if you want to have a sign in front of your business if you want to put a fence in if you want to put in kids pool. Want to have hot tub iif you want to have different kinds of animals other dog or cats it’s unreal . Forest hills , Lawrenceville ,turtle creek are allowed to have chickens and we’re not in a suburban area. with all these restrictions they’re putting on residence is becoming too much .if something doesn’t change we’re gonna have to take legal action. we should have the freedom to do what we need to do to keep your house and yard nice and not be harrassed with permits and potential fine every time we try to make an improvement . Contractors in a 25 mile radius have made comments about Manor borough . Building inspectors from others district in local areas have commented that manor borough is the strictest borough in all of the area. We are losing residences on a monthly basis because of how corrupt and bad the situation . we need change.

Living in the original section of Manor its disgusting how Joe allows it to be kept. He polices people for making improvements but is blind to structures that clearly need either condemned or made to be improved, garbage piled up around residences and weeds, some taller than a grown person. Those things he claims need to be policed by a code enforcement officer, which had been almost 2 years since we have had one. The lack of one also lies in Joe's lap for that lapse, as borough manager he should be dealing with filling that position. Then there was the sewer separation we underwent a few years ago where the contractor has yet to put a top coat on some of the roads and backfill at the curb, when Joe was asked about that I was belittled and told it's done and it's fine. He ignores the issues in front of him, but if he can squeeze money out of good taxpaying citizens for asinine permits hes all in for that. God help you if you own a chicken, he loses his damn mind.

Whom ever started this needs to make sure this is presented to council prior to the appointment of his position. The next meeting is November 11th at 7 pm. And his appointment would be at the December meeting so we need to get this moving quickly. He needs to go he blatantly was biased against hiring my nephew for summer help because he is autistic. His therapist was there and witnessed the whole thing. !! Absolutely disgusting!!!
