Remove Irish Cancer society Advert - "I want to get Cancer"

Awful tactics to use to force people into talking about cancer. Shame on yous.

This ad has to be removed. It is just wrong on so many levels.

I find this advert disturbing.

I support you 100%. It has to be one of the stupidest, insensitive and down right annoying ads I have ever seen.

I want this advertisement taken off the radio and television.

I think it's very insensitive especially to younger people who do not understand the concept of the ad.

When I saw the ad I was taken aback by the wording. Two years ago my mother passed away from cancer. My husband who has survived cancer is a changed person but I could not access support. I became invisible. The fallout of this disease will not be cured by wording such as that which is on display in many public sites.

Stupidity of this ad campaign is beyond me! In no context can this slogan be justified

As a cancer patient with a teenage daughter I find this advert offensive and would like to have it removed

Cancer causes too much devastation to be playing clever word games. Please remove this advert it is upsetting the very people you are working for. Apologise and move on

It very hard to watch and the words are so hard to hear for people going through the illness of cancer.

This family deserve to have their wish granted, not removing the add when asked by them is totally insensitive.

If it wasn't for the facebook reaction I would have never known why or what it meant by random people saying they want to get cancer when I saw this during advertisements. I was waiting for the following ad to explain, but it didn't come. I'm a counsellor by profession and still cannot fathom the message intended by the advertisers from a person coming on in an advert and saying they want to get cancer??? Why do they want to get cancer?? Please explain, without an explanation it seems quite disgusting, almost like a desire to want to self harm or die.

Very offensive , get rid , very bad taste. If this is meant to be awareness add , be aware that you have no compassion for those who suffered or are suffering with cancer be it patients, family , friends . Changes my mind all about the Irish cancer society.

I object very strongly to the Irish Cancer Society Advert. My husband was diagnosed this year & I find the ad repulsive & insensitive. The society should not be WASTING it's funds in this way. It is a disgrace.
