Remove Ford GoBike Stations in front of People's Homes!

As a home owner 3 blocks for this location and 1 block from the rack at 55th and Telegraph I received not notice of any kind requesting my support or concern. The racks are too close together and it is ridiculous that these station aren't be installed in neighborhoods where the residences are in need of more transportation options. Fancy cell phones and a form of credit is needed to use these bikes. Discrimination continues for all involved.

In the interest of transparency and respect for the community, please remove these stations from in front of people's homes at once.

come on...no FORD bike stations in residential areas. do Motivate CEOs have them in front of their mansions?

FORD GoBike/Motivate needs to honor its original presentations of placing its commercial rental bike stations on streets/neighborhoods zoned for mixed use, i.e. commercial and residential use and along transportation corridors......... not on streets/neighborhoods zoned residential only. The bike rental station with its 4'x6' billboard, its +6' high pay kiosk and all its bike mechanical lock stations is a commercial enterprise. FORD GoBike/Motivate needs to have community outreach concurrent with the bike rental installations and an appeal procedure as part of its implementation program, like any other new commercial or construction endeavor rather than the "hunker in the bunke" mentality it presently exhibits

Ridiculous placement of share bikes. Remove them immediately.

This type of pay and go bike rental rack has no place in a residential neighborhood.

Still scratching my head as to how this happened overnight, I would be LIVID if one ended up in front of my house one day.

Suddenly our neighborhood has been besieged by these ugly and frankly unnecessary gobike stations...they are particularly abhorrent when placed in front of private homes

Too many bikes and to few parking spaces. Balance would be nice.

Get the bikes away from non commercial residences. Heck small businesses the would be effected should also have a voice that is listened to.

It is blatantly unfair that this could be installed in front of someone's house without prior warning. That citizens were not included in this change, and especially the people who have had them stuck in front of their house and streets, is absurd and wrong. You must remedy this issue immediately.

Blinded by the positive green aspects of bikeshares, the City of Oakland has completely fallen down in its responsibility for thoughtful urban planning. This is a complete dereliction of duty.

Bike share programs are a good thing if thoughtfully placed. Locating an advertisement laden structure within an otherwise residential neighborhood is not considerate or appropriate. Nearby on east side of 52nd at Shafter there are no homes and plenty of space off the street that should be considered for relocating the eyesore now on Shafter at Cavour.

Remove the bike stations in front of residences.

The actions by Motivate require notice and input from the residents most affected by these actions. Please delay the implementation until we can discuss the consequences on our neighborhood.

Very unhappy with the bikes at College Ave and Harwood intersection. They block the crosswalk site line and cars do not see pedestrians. This is affecting shopping. The loss of parking for shoppers and delivery trucks is a problem.
