General Appeal of the Lay Faithful to Bishop David Walkowiak regarding Covid-19 restrictions

It's time

People without masks have been forced out of churches by police. This should NEVER happen in America.

Let us worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth.

Let the Holy Spirit guide us; not the governmemt.

It is also past time for the Nursing Home Residents to receive real hugs from their families rather than knocks on windows. It is also past time for them to receive the Holy Eucharist which has been prolonged as I have been told by an employee for a year. This is in my estimation "Spiritual Abuse".

People should not be required to get COVID-19 vaccine

I find it disturbing that our clergy is so easily led by possibly misleading information produced by the media. The clergy is playing into Satans hands by allowing our family to be disrupted per St. Lucia.

Your Eminence, The last year has forced the leadership of God’s Church, already reeling from controversies, to decide what it must do to avoid public scrutiny and debate over what it’s Sacraments and sacramentals mean to its worship of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In the early days, the leadership deferred to secular medical leaders as “the experts,” an in the spirit of charity made what must have been a very difficult decision— to close our houses of worship; suspend administration of the Sacraments and use of sacramentals and to take Mass online. This was acceptable in the short term, when there was little information on which to base decisions. A year later, however, we are in a different place- we know that time of exposure and ventilation are key. Screening and quarantining of the elderly and infirm is easily accomplished without impact to the Church. Those under age 65 and those without elevated medical risk factors have never been at significant risk of adverse effects from contracting the illness, and if they do they can quarantine while helping to establish herd immunity. It is high time we reintroduce the full offering Sacraments including the precious Blood- even if by intinction; and one extremely important sacramental- holy water. The Church has recorded many miracles associated with it. It is no longer acceptable to claim that online Mass is a valid substitute for this most holy of sacrifices experienced in the fellowship of others who wish to commune with Our Lord in the reality of the Most Holy Eucharist. Staying home and watching is for most an excuse and a sin against God and the Church. We need official directives from the Church leadership on this. Please ask the USCCB and the affiliate leadership in other nations to fully restore legitimate worship of Our Lord. Who will save us from COVID19? He will, if it is in accordance with Divine Will! There is a time and place for masks; just ask any drywall dude, deep sea diver, or bank robber. But once the task is tackled, the mask must come off to reveal the face of the person who took on the risk of trade. Trades help chart the course of human dignity and culture. Even the dedicated doctor, or the Halloween Hooligan must shortly after skilled work reveal their true identity in order to beget relationships beyond their patient or bag of tricks-and-treat. This cultivation of person-hood helps bind people together in a society. The bond, if extended from the core familial unit, is through sickness and in health. Faced with this fact, it is fitting for folks to be at civilizations crux right now: for those who want a faceless race, amorphous anonymity and gender-bending health standards beg tyrant masquerades for all. For those who wish to see cultivated countenances which reflect the face of the son in nuanced name and smile (in sickness and in health), or even share sadness at loss of life but with hope for life lived on, the risk of life lends itself to unveiled labors. Setting aside some legitimate mask wearing scenarios of exceptions rule, let us reflect on the track we are trending; Life with masks as mandated culture-control-condoms for all? Or life with nuanced variation of person-hood's theme, giving faces each their name, and permitting Life, and it's Lord, liberty to bow and cut chords, sow and reap fruit, and build and cast down cultures castle as He sees fit.

We can not live in fear. I have four children that are seeing fear in the church vs faith in Christ.
