Coach Thomas has favorites on the team the hell with everyone else this should of happen couple years ago feel sorry for the kids I wouldn’t want to play for this man he is horrible

Coach Thomas has been an asset in all aspects of coaching at Choctaw. He is the winningest coach in Choctaw history. He has had very few players leave his program for others and he has had many players to play at the collegiate level. If you are a committed student athlete and have true love for the game, you will never quit or walk away from a program, for whatever reason. To whoever started this petition, if a loss in your opinion is "demoralizing" you should have nothing to do with sports. Something can be learned from EVERY game and EVERY loss. Games like life, do not always go as planned. Young people and student atheletes should learn that when you get knocked down in life, you get back up and keep fighting. Coach Thomas is a great coach, and an asset to the school and football program!

I have witnessed his passion for the program, athletes and school. You wont find anyone with more talent, experience nor passion. You will be competing in a lesser league if you lose a coach that should be at the college or professional level.

He’s run the football program into the ground and his lack of oversight has led to many other programs being poorly managed. Compare the rosters year over year and see how it has diminished over time. Football should be like a family and if the head of the family has a loving attitude, promotes accountability, and instills confidence, he has a right to discipline firmly but when he’s just an egotistical jackass - who is demeaning to not only his players but his support staff and parents - it’s time to redirect the funds that support his 6 figure salary - READ THAT AGAIN - 6 figure salary for talking to players like they are dogs and ineffectively doing his job.

When you see the an old man, State Head Coach bow his head, touch the State Championship Trophy, Awards, newpaper articles, and stare in disbelief. Uttering the words, "This is disgraceful.. "

You guys want him gone because you say he’s not coaching? Because he’s yelling at the kids? I’m well versed in it- You think Coach Thomas has changed his coaching philosophy in the last 3-4 years? He’s been coaching for about 35. I can tell you- He hasn’t. Nothing’s changed with Choctaw since he’s been here....except the players. They are young. He’s said it himself. The coddling wasn’t helping motivate so you got to get after them- Try and get them to play with an attitude. You think starting a petition because your son got yelled at is a good move? If you care about Choctaw and want them to do better- Toughen your kids up to get their butt chewed now and then.

Also- People- It’s football. If you’ve ever played football- Coaches yell at you to make you better. That may have been the reason for the rough start. Been too nice to them.

Everybody on here wants to Fire the Coach because you’re having a bad year? My nephew played a few years ago and loved Coach Thomas. Y’all forgot Choctaw was in playoffs every year and when Richie Grant was a Sr they went to Final Four.....under Coach Thomas! Choctaw don’t have great players every year. I’ve seen 1 game this year- Crestview. Could have won- But 9 and 10 grade football players can’t compete with 11/12 graders other schools have. Choctaw will be real good in a couple years. Gotta be patient!

I dont agree with calling a team, while loosing, stupid, you suck or an embarrassment to the program is very leader like.
Sounds like a a Performance Evaluation is needed. Afterall he is an employee of the county.

No program improvements. Same old trash from the 90's Old equiment. You should see the roaches. Coaches have DB's runnin a sled. Im confused.
Probably never took into consideration, a few kids may be in sports to get away from possible condescending situations at home.
Not sure if i wanna see my kids get exposed to type of behavior by an adult.

Yes. What this man said is complete facts. I loved football but playing under a coach like Coach Thomas has made me lose all interest in the sport, forcing me to step away from the sport
