I don’t like getting involved in social media things like this- But- For those of you that are blaming Coach Thomas for things like the State Championship trophy case- You are WAY off. That is NOT his responsibility- That is ours who played for that team. We will fix that up- That is on us- Not Coach Thomas. He is a good coach and good person and for those of you that are upset with the program- Step up and make a difference and help out.

Things ppl will say on the internet they never would say in person. Internet tough guys. Maybe nobody is getting recruited because they aren’t good enough? Maybe that’s why they have lost some games? Not a well thought out petition statement. You shot yourself in the foot several times. College coaches recruit PLAYERS! They could careless what their high school team does if they can help them win. #Clueless

Greg Thomas is a man of God and character. You couldn't ask for a better role model for the young kids to look up to. I have seen how he treats his students and I wish my 17 year old son had a coach like him that teaches not only football, but values , respect and best of all, teaches them how to be a good man.

I played football in HS and coached men in the USAF. I understand your last name bias. I may be the same if I were in your shoes. But don't shame me for comparing someone that wants to be defended as an AD and HS of a program to a CEO. Also, if you make those statements, in your heart of hearts you are saying Choctaw has that problem. At the end of the day, these are young men that are not being developed. They're not winning. They're not going on to big and better things when they leave Choctaw. So statements like "no ability to hire" does place blame on the CHILD. Also, he's choosing to be a football coach. Wins and losses are his measure of success. He wants to be measured on good feels and faith.....be a youth pastor.

If you want to start something like this why feel the need to hide behind anonymity? In the petition they talk about Choctaw losing players to FWB and they are a better program. Well, whoever you are....you lost all credibility with that statement. Did Choctaw lose to FWB this year? Yes, but I guess you forgot about the last seven. Not to mention the condition of the program before Coach Thomas arrived and brought it back from the dead. Over the years he has consistently done more with less! I’m ashamed of my fellow Indians for being drawn into this trash. Everybody always thinks there kid is God’s gift and when they don’t become something special you want to blame the coach. Adults playing kid games on social media....sad!

Ricky , question ? The CEO , has the power to hire his/her employees correct ? A high school coach , unlike college and professional , does not have that luxury , correct ? Shame on you for comparing a CEO of a company to a high school football coach based solely on performance , in this case wins and losses . Have you ever coached ? If so, take the worse player on your team and imagine if you had 70 of those guys . Im NOT saying Choctaw has this problem , but in general you have to have talent to win games and your mediocrity statement is based on wins and losses I assume .
