Yes, i agree. Cov19 didnt help us out in the beginning. Tough start for any program. Cant blame Coach for a virus that had a direct affect on the team.

To honor the team. I will ask for the cabinet and items to be moved to a better place. Issue solved.

You should've met the coach before Coach Thomas. He didnt care. The current coach has done a lot over the years keeping Choctaw in contention with our rivals.

I agree with you. Focus needs to be on the kids and support for the program. Hateful comments wont solve anything. It breeds sentiment. I support the program. Go Big Green!

No football program is ever perfect. Imagine reconstructing a program annually. Thats a lot of work. Always needing to work out the kinks, coaching can be tough. Lets lift this program up. Lets get these kids back in the fight. When winning happens this will go away.

You are exactly correct Wendy. They are and have been. I have come to him in his open door before. I have no problem with a coach getting onto my kids if needed because they have a parent that will build them back up, but remember that not all these kids have such parents. I have several come to me complaining that the building back up part doesn’t happen. I have no problem bring that up with him.

My reasons for signing this petition this morning are reasons way different than what I am reading from others in this petition now. It makes me regret being associated in this character bashing mess that I’m reading tonight. I don’t agree with the what this has turned into. I have no problem with Coach Thomas as a person. The problem I do have, which is the reason I signed this, I should have handled differently. It has caused me to regret being attached to this negativity. Let’s focus on how we can make this program better.

Hi Toss Thomas Zach Morgan a former player just sent me this after he saw what you are doing to try to pull Down a great man and coach! Tell Coach Thomas Zach said hey. Can’t believe what I just saw about the petition. He is the best thing that ever happened to that school. I am who iam from the 3 years he coached me at Choctaw. The work ethic and discipline I was taught I will never forget. Being one of the smallest on the team, he brought more out of me than I could imagine.. I never came off the field and played just about every down with guys that were much bigger than me, and he believed in me..it’s sad kids these days have gotten so soft. It’s definitely not the coaching that is causing this. I hate this and wish the best for him. Wish the kids and parents would grow a backbone and overcome this.. wish y’all the best. I was a four year starter and team Captain. Coach Greg Thomas was largely responsible for my opportunity and success. He demands excellence and pushes players to excel on and off the field. Anyone who believes he is not up to the job is either ignorant or mentally weak. The best coaches don’t make everyone happy...they make the team better. Coach Thomas is one of the best. Comment Greg Thomas is undoubtably the best person I have ever met. I spent over ten years working with this man that gave his, heart, time, money, and his very existence to the kids that called him Coach and the Coaches that had the up most respect for this man and his faith in Christ. The amount of lives this man has touched is immeasurable. Not to mention 4 consecutive NC football state championships with a 30 plus undefeated span during that run. I can tell you that the school I coached at and played at, misses him everyday along with myself. I coached football for 25 years and never met anyone more devoted. I’ve had a son and a daughter play for him and all I can say is they never said they were degraded but then again I didn’t raise thin skinned kids. Coach Thomas has ALWAYS given my kids support. On recruiting....I NEVER rely on ANYONE to handle my kids recruiting. He makes his salary because he has to deal with ALL sports and their parents...he earns it from what I see. He has assembled GREAT coaches in all the sports. It’s not just about football and your little Johnny.
