These dogs have gotten a bad reputation because some owners raise them to fight. However, they can be raised by families to be protectors & members of the family.

I am a firm believer in a dog's loyalty.. they respond to what their owners want from them... I don't believe there are any vicious breeds but I do think there are people who misuse their animals loyalty to them...

I actually have no idea why people would ban pits but not any other dogs! Any dog can be dangerous but it just the person who trains them, not the breed!

BSL is a band aid at the very best, that doesn't target the legitimate issue that creates "vicious" animals.

This ban needs to be lifted...Go after the losers treating these dogs terrible and teaching them to fight instead of the poor babies being tortured.

I've owned many pets including the breeds labeled dangerous. They were all great is all in how you raise and treat them.

Any person with general knowledge of canine breeds and characteristics knows that a dog's aggression is triggered by its treatment, NOT its breed.

Owner responsibility based legislation and enforcement are proven to be far more effective in ensuring public safety than BSL. If public safety is the concern, communities should be moving in that direction.

It's all about how you raise the dog, if your mean to them chances are the dog will be mean. Love them and they will love everybody!

After having been around pit bulls, being a volunteer at the Humane Society, they are one of the most forgiving, lovable and loyal dog that I have been around. There is no way there should be a ban on these beautiful creatures.

I'be known many pitbulls in my life and they are only mean if they are raised that way. They are the sweetest, most loving and loyal dogs. Any dog can become vicious, to label a specific breed and ban them is ignorant. This goes for any and all dogs.
