Why put up a fence like this? Is the owner purposefully out to injure dogs? Please WSCC think again!

If fence necessary, can we insist on plain wire---easy answer.
Will "Friends of Chichester Harbour" help us, and what do the Harbour Conservancy think?

It's an accident waiting to happen. I hope the land owner is prepared for some claims against him.

This is a family friendly area. Please don't wait until there is a tragedy involving a small child or a family pet. Fence if you must but remove barbed wire.

The fence is extremely poorly designed and poses an unacceptable risk to users of the pathway. The barbs are unnecessary and should be removed by the land owner to minimise accidents and injuries to both people and animals. Please serve notice on them as soon as possible.

Potentially lethal to users of the footpath, ugly and thoughtless. What's the problem with using stock fencing? Wrong on every count.

Not only is this out of keeping and ugly but extremely dangerous for both people, especially children and animals

There's no possible excuse for barbed wire there!
You're not allowed to use razor wire or similar on top of a wall next to a footpath, so I don't see how that can be legal!

This is a deliberate act to injure dogs and children as it looks like they can run through it and totally unnecesary. Grow up, why try and hurt innocents and if you need a fence put in a safe stock fence that all can see and not cause injury when playing on the beach.

The danger to humans and animals with this fence is terrible, what makes it worse is it has been made this way on purpose as the other fencing erected is proper stock fencing, the owner should hang their head in shame.

That's the most dangerous fence I have ever seen. Surely can't be legal.
