Outrageous to have dangerous barbed wire along our coastal pathways. WSCC and Harbour Conservancy please order that it is removed.

I used to use this beach when I lived at Southbourne. There was never anything like this. This is more like a trap for wildlife and our pets rather than a decently erected fence.

Why cannot normal vertical stock fencing be used which will keep people out but allow animals to roam around without injury. Barbed wire is so archaic, stock style fences on the SouthDowns seem to work.

This is a danger to small children, adults and pets. Please change the fence to something which won't harm passers by.

the design of this fence needs to be obliterated and removed immediately. It is both dangerous to animals and children. It serves no purpose whatsoever. Please remove !!!!

I have lived close to this beautiful coastal walk for nearly 30 years and am appalled at WSCC for ignoring legality and allowing the area to be blighted by such a brutal and sinister fence.

This fence looks evil to the public and animals who walk this stretch of public footpath.

This fence is appalling. If they do need a fence then a less threatening one should be erected.

Why does it have to be barbed wire and so potentially lethal!

Far too dangerous for dogs and dog walkers
It looks both ugly and dangerous
