How about asking CHC and Friends of Chichester Harbour to approach the landowner and offer to plant a native hedgerow instead of the fence?

What is the purpose of this ugly and untasteful fencing? In any event I consider it a unnecessary and useless expenditure of my council tax. Please remove the fence

Unsafe eyesore

This is awful not only is it an eyesore it's dangerous to wildlife and all animals.

How can such an ugly and dangerous barbed wire fence be permitted in a specially protected conservation area?

Fence is dangerous and unsightly-in a word 'offensive'

Clearly this unsightly and dangerous. Without recourse to sect 164 Highways Act 1890 the owner should do the decent and sensible thing and replace it with a safer and more appropriate option. A square grid wire fence with vertical timber posts running immediately adjacent to the farm track would be a sensible alternative.

I spotted this on a coastal run recently. Very dangerous. Remove it before someone gets badly hurt.

This fence is hideous and is a very real danger to both people and dogs. Set at an acute angle as it is, it does resemble something from the war, but more importantly, should you stumble, unlike a vertical fence, you cannot save yourself.

This looks hideous against the landscape and resembles something like they used in the war. You have no idea on how this is dangerous for the dogs and children whilst walking and running along the footpath, the correct answer is to remove this fence.

The owner should consider natural alternatives.

I am sure that if a fence is needed then something less dangerous and ugly could be achieved - what about a hawthorn hedge? This would provide a refuge for wildlife as well as being animal proof.
