Remove Barbed Wire from Prinsted Bay

This is very dangerous. A full risk assessment should have identified the dangers of entanglement / injury. A vertical animal friendly fence is required.

This is so dangerous for people with dogs and children accompanying them on their walks. My grandchildren included!

This looks awful, I have had a dog that had a run in with some barbed wire and it was horrendous. It also spoils the view quite a lot!

I walk along there with 3 dogs which love to run and chase each other. They only need to get tangled up in that awful barbed wire and.......doesn't bear thinking about . It should never have been put there in the first place. Mindless act of stupidness.

Disgraceful, totally unnecessary and a danger to people and animals. It HAS to go.

I walk this pathway regularly and find this fence to be an absolute hazard not only to animals but all who use it. It is unsightly and to be built within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is criminal. PLEASE do the right thing and take it down.

Totally unnecessary, unslightly and highly dangerous. I have three children and a dog; we enjoy the pathways very much as a local person and find the barbed wire very dangerous.

Unsightly, brutal and completely insensitive to the needs and safety of others, both two legged and four legged.

Having had the privilege to walk this stunning path for the last 47 years I cannot believe that anyone would wish to erect such a hostile, dangerous and totally unnecessary barbed wire fence. I recently witnessed animal fur hanging from a barb. Several deer live in this area. Children and dogs play daily along this beautiful part of the foreshore. Does a serious injury have to happen before this lethal and unsightly obstruction is removed?

I agree that this will be a real danger once the grass grows back and hides the wire.

That looks like a shocking safety hazard in a place a lot of the public may visit.

I often walk this way and was shocked to see this ugly, dangerous fencing, surely ordinary wire would have been sufficient.

This structure could so easily cause serious injury to animals and children. There is absolutely no justification for this vicious structure and it should be removed without delay before any accidents happen.

The conservation work undertaken in this area is superb and to be commended, but is utterly let down by this cheap, nasty and ill-thought through 'fencing'. Health and Safety has its place (indeed it's what stopped us shoving children up chimneys and working underneath lethal cotton mill machinery). The owner of this land should be aware that any child falling on this fencing may potentially incur life-changing injuries. Such an accident could also potentially damage the owner's pocket with a claim in court. This fencing is not only an eyesore in an an otherwise exemplary aesthetically pleasing area, but is dangerous and should be removed as soon as possible.

As soon as the grass grows back up and hides this, dogs will simply be torn to shreds as they dive in and out of the undergrowth. It is simply unacceptable.

A terribly dangerous stretch of barbed wire fence. As a Chartered OHS Practitioner, I can state that any risk assessment would confirm its removal should be immediate. The effect on anyone falling on to it could be life changing. Use Sussex Rail fencing if it must be there. Awful, arrogant, stupid structure.
