City of Chesapeake needs to take over the water supply in the community of Indian River so the shopping center can be up graded to a more needed shopping center that will bring in more revenue . The homes can really use this change.

Ever since Aqua took over the old Indian River water works my water bill has more than tripled and not a thing to show for it. The water is filthy. It costs me a great deal for a filtering system. We were a family of five, but now it is just myself and the amount of water they bill me for is about the same as if my other family members are still living with me. I was told to use a five gallon bucket and watch the meter. It was during this trial that I observed the meter jumping by 200 gallons. Nothing has been done about it. Not only is it costly for Aquas bill but the bill for Hampton Roads Sewage is based on the amount of water that Aqua sends them. This petition is gladly being signed by me. Aqua is being a burden on the City of Chesapeake that unless Aqua sells out to the City of Chesapeake probably needs to be investigated by higher authority.

Would love to see new business in that shopping center a food store would be wonderful a lot of the older people in our area could walk to the store and that would be nice for them so that they do not have to spend there money on taxis.

Would love to have better quality water and the Walmart Fresh Market here. Also would like local support, not someone from Richmond.

Aqua Virginia is preventing quality stores & services in our area. Norfolk Highland, Indian River Estates, & Sherry Park would benefit from new stores/restaurants in this area. We are going to spend our money. We would like to spend it in our area!

I would rather use our own neighborhood; Chesapeake, to do business in other than driving to Norfolk or Virginia Beach. It's time to clean up our shopping center.

The Indian River area has been in desperate need of an upgrade for too long. I support the opportunity to bring in new retail stores.

I am tired of looking at our neighborhood blighted shopping center. We deserve better and can support an upscale grocery store and shops.

I would like to see our area become more vibrant and fixed up. With out new business we can not grow. It will help boost our economy and overall neighborhood in general! We want Aqua Water out!
