We need a reliable water supply for homes and retailers. That's not too much to ask for.

I would love to see this area improved with a grocery store, it is an excellent area and is needed.

I would love to see a newly renovated shopping center and a new grocery closer to my house. I have missed the ones that used to be there years ago. I grew up here and have seen the center go down so badly. I want to see if thrive again.

Please agree to cooperate with the city on this matter. The community deserves a grocery store. Not bars or gambling places. Renovation is needed!

I keep saying that we need a better shopping center up at Indian River. I walk that route three times a day and it is very disgusting to see that shopping center so run down. Hopefully we can get something up there soon.

I am not personally served by Aqua Virginia water service, but agree that they must either remove themselves from the City of Chesapeake or cooperate with the City. The Indian River Shopping Center is an eyesore on our community and needs to be renovated.

I grew up in Norfolk Highlands and now live in South Norfolk. That shopping center needs to be updated. It's been years since there was a grocery store in that shopping center. There are a lot of elderly people in that area and they desperately need a grocery store close. Not to mention it's a awful eyesore. Put a grocery store in......no more bars or gambling halls. They need to do something for the community, not just their pockets.

I too am not in the Aqua Virginia water service area but as a citizen of Chesapeake I feel the City should disengage from this franchise which is not supplying Norfolk Highland residents adequate service and is currently holding the community in an economic hostage situation....

Not a customer, but I favor of a change to encourage new economic development.

I am not in the Aqua Virginia water service area; however, their inability to provide adequate service to their customers is irresponsible. It has stopped economic development in the area and has left area residents without fire hydrants.

Economic revitalization and the safety of our residents and customers of the shopping center must be a priority.

Aqua is not helping us. They are making it impossible for new tenants to lease and upgrade our neighborhood. Please stop holding back growth and improvement!

Aqua is turning the Indian River area of Chesapeake into a slum. Property values are decreasing because Aqua can't meet the water demands for an improved Indian River Shopping Center. Aqua must leave Chesapeake.
