This is insane. I understand and agree with child safety but this is not about safety. These people are making millions off this. Safetly has not been improved. Kids are not outside during schools hours!!!

There are no statistics showing children were getting run over by motorists to justify this shameless money grab

Children were not getting hurt by motorists before the cameras were installed. This camera based ticket system has not been installed for safety reasons. It is installed to generate revenue only.

these cameras are an absolute outrage.the idea was implemented for the one and only reason $$$.not for anybodys safety!!! hopefully this doesnt take effect in suffolk county.i would like to know the last time you heard of anybody getting hit by a car in a school zone.the traffic guards in school zones are everywhere now!! i think the counties have to rethink this option of generating money from something like this.

I am a safe driver. I am appaled at being ticketed for going 1 mile an hour over the speed limit. I am especially careful in school zones and on side streets where children and pets may be in our streets. On side streets, I try to keep my speed at well under 30 mph.
