Not surprised AT ALL! Since the country is now looking at Carrollton, a strong message needs to be sent that this RACIST behavior will not be tolerated. The decision by this guy required thought and planning. He knew what he was doing. His action reflects the attitude of a large portion of that town. So many confederate flags bolted in the back of pickup trucks blazing down the road. Here is the chance for the university to show where they stand on this issue.

My son is a student at UWG. He also happens to be a black male. This behavior is totally inappropriate. As a person who has experienced racism and who's parents party if the civil rights movement believe it's acts such as this that let us know racism, discrimination, and insensitivity are still alive and well in our country.

In this generation I believe that ignorance is inexcusable. There is no reason he should be uneducated about blackface and the history behind it in America.

There may be other issues ALSO, but it is not okay, period. Especially with all the sensitivity going on about racism lately? Don't say racism isn't a "real" issue because that's quite ridiculous to think so.

Why do people thing this is even okay? Do you know the history? MLK didn't die for you, a white male, to attempt to look like a black male. Grow up.

He thought it was a joke and that is the problem. Our students should know better and there are consequences for the actions that they take.

You would think with all the sensitivity going on with race in our country, he would have been smart enough not to embody it by dressing in full Black Face.

He needs to get kicked off the team or next year I'm painting my face white and dressing as a racist. Sound good? Didn't think so.

This is very un called for. The fact that he saw this as an joke, it's quite ridiculous. Maybe next year black people should dress up like white people, so they can see how it feels.
