By allowing the student to get away with this it makes it ok for anyone else to do the same. How can we be a well respected institute of higher learning when students don't act with common decency and respect for others. Quite frankly I am very disappointed.

All West Georgia students should be treated with the respect they deserve, not humiliated by racist behavior. Do not allow this kind of behavior to represent us.

We are taught in our institutions that this type of behavior is unacceptable. It is sickening that someone of the same institution, that teaches us in history books about this act, would attempt this type of foul play. Halloween or not it is NEVER ok.

Brandy, I think your fingers guided you to the wrong petition... This petition is to discuss the obvious and continual examples of racial stereotypes, and the University of West Georgia's possible endorsement of such activities. Although you make great points re: the issues that you think are "worth fighting", I think it would be best served for you to direct your energy to the causes that you are passionate about, instead of attempting to weigh in on a subject that you are obviously uneducated in. I am not certain where you are from but to the best of my knowledge, Racism is indeed, a REAL issue.

Get a life and focus on real issue within UWG. As a resident, alumni and much more to UWG there is a huge issue with robbery rates through the rough on campus but are we upset and doing anything about that hell no!! How about the fact our campus police are unarmed by choice? I personally believe the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun... Which should be our campus officers so no one has to wait on a "REAL" policeman to come and try to save the day. I see white girls who wear black girl make up because they think they are dark enough to match! Well I got new for you... It don't and you look dumb but are we after these girls? Nope!! Find a cause to fight which is in fact worth fighting! Not a Halloween coustume!!

Not quite sure what message this young man was trying to send but we hear you loud and clear. This is very inappropriate and a terrible representation of The University of West Georgia.

As a student of the school, it disappoints me that action wasn't taken sooner by administration. This is a terrible representation of the UWG student body & I'm hoping that this will be resolved properly.
