I have a 4 month old niece with Achondroplasia and she is our whole world! Perfect in every way. Using the m word is extremely offensive and not acceptable.

As a parent of an LP I strongly encourage the removal of the word midget as well!

My son has dwarfism and this "m" word is beyond offensive. Please find a better word to describe little league sports.

No child should feel less because of “names”. Midget is derogatory and needs to be changed.

I am the aunt to a boy with dwarfism and the word midget is very hurtful and offensive. Certain words should be eliminated from our vocabulary.

What a poor practice. Thankful for this determined mama advocating for her adorable son. Get it together Mississippi.

My daughter has dwarfism and people should be aware of how offensive "midget" can effect any little person!

The term “midget” is extremely derogatory and used to belittle people who are different. It’s completely unacceptable for an entire state to institute the usage of a derogatory term to describe a youth sports league. There are so many words one could use to describe size that are perfectly non offensive, I hope you will pick one of those instead. Thank you for your time.

The M word is highly offensive and has no place in society.
