Removal of taxi rank and illegal traders

This filthy taxi rank with the traders is degrading our lovelly nrighbouhood.

I support this petition to remove the Sandown Taxi Rank and illegal traders.

My dad was wiped out by a taxi driver parked at this rank. He forcefully and recklessly hit him off his bike and reversed twice to do harm. He crushed his leg and due to complications, my beloved dad passed away in July.

Remove these taxi and illegal traders. This is not the place to be!

The taxi rank and its informal trading area are creating social problems and enabling drug and alcohol addiction amongst the homeless. Also, the stench of human faeces and urine permeate the surroundings. The other issue is the litter left behind in the taxi area, including the greenbelt.

This is a saftey issue due to this being a high traffic area and it attracting a lot of foot traffic. It is also always left dirty and. Thirdly this is a public space and not a dedicated space for a taxi rank or trading space.
