UC Removal of Principal Hagstrom from Walt Disney School

OMG The nightmare she put my girls through.. and yes you kno who they are and who I'm.. The twins mom .. Alvarez family.. I don't know from where to start.. but I'm so happy and I been praying that you get what you deserve.. and people please stop calling her Dr. Because she is not .. she give her self this title.. and I wish I can come to the meeting on Monday but I can't I know that all the family of Disney will be there ..for their kids .. By the way.. hagstrom.. do you remember the twins they were 10 years old and they passed away.. all kids were so sad and they did wanna have some kinda vigil light a candle and gather and support each other because they were hurt they cried for the twins who lost their life.. but you didn't let them do anything to consult them or any thing.. shame on you .. they were your kids .. your not a teacher or have nothing to with been educator or example to guide them .. you need to be gone like 100 years ago ..why it taking that long .. I won't.. who's having your back .. Won't be surprised.. its Chicago fill with contraption.. I hope and pray it's not this the case..

We transferred out of her school and the “gifted” program. It was not a place where my children would be lied to and misled. There was no SEL and it started at the top. My fabulous kids are now in fantastic schools that care about them and not just the test number or dollar figure placed on their head.

This is unprofessional behavior by a authority figure in education. Young minds are being tarnished by this person's personal opinion of others. A reprimand is far to easy for this level of injustice done to parents, students, and her staff she should be flat out FIRED.

I went to Disney my self and now my child goes to Disney. I was so excited to send my child to where I attended school. But one I encountered Dr. Hagstrom I felt like I made a huge mistake sending him to Disney. My child had teacher that had the AbilityTo help more but she got in the way of my child getting all the help you needed. My child is biracial with I think the reason she has problem with my child. She Suggested to the teacher that I transferred my child to another school but my child test scores are phenomenal. My child is also active a little too much at times but can completely assessments So I refused to move to a school she started making it harder for my child to do what they had to do. But I am Determined to keep my child at Disney she to go. I was sad to read what some of my teachers had to say about her.

Always has the biggest concern about parents being on the phone is understandable. But when you have your phone out trying to find out the that your child is missing from the school and she has the nerve to say get off the phone. Am sorry but the school has lost my child show my sympathy and find out how to help the situation

I attended Walt Disney Magnet School At a young age and am not surprised to hear about the. Terrible things Dr. Hagstrok has done. Her demeanor towards the students often matches her demeanor towards her staff. She has teachers and staff who follow what’s she says, since she is their boss, who racially discriminate towards students of color. It is a disgusting act that should have been taken care of years ago.

It is really easy for anyone to sign this petition, make accusations and name call. So many of you have never had real contact with her yet your words are as hurtful as the ones you claim she makes. For the people who have worked with her and have a legitimate complaint and sign your name, good for you. Unfortunately a majority of these signatures and comments hold no weight because they are nothing more than a bunch of people jumping on a hate campaign.

Who is Barbara James? What department does she work in? What does she teach? Will the real Barbara James, step up. Are you. a Fictitious person? Also, her passion is definitely not about educating students, especially students of color. It is about power and control. The ability to control an entire school, intimidate, and degrade employees IS the reason she continues to work.

Disney does not have a staff member by the name Barbara James, Maybe Juanita Brown? Just because you have not experienced the racism, you should not try to discredit the people sharing their honest experiences. There are over a thousand signatures and hundreds of legitimate comments.

To the teacher, Barbara James, who works at Disney. SHAME ON YOU for defending this horrible woman. For two decades she has bullied and abused staff. She admits to her affinity for white, thin, blonde teachers. She hates black people. She has referred to one black teacher as a "silver backed ape" in the presence of several colleagues. Ask her if this is a false statement. I dare you. You are blindly supporting a woman who gave coon urine as a gift at a staff party. You are a fool.

People who say "Black people need to stop using the race card" are racist. If the real and true stories in this comment feed do not convince you that Hagstrom acts in a racist manner then you probably dont believe in racism.

I work at Disney and Dr Hagstrom is no way, shape, or form racists. Black people needs to stop with the race card. Dr. Hagstrom has done so much for Disney students. Whomever started this petition is sick. I will go to LSC and defend Dr. Hagstrom at all cost. Shame on all of you with the negativity. Do you honestly think Dr. Hagstrom needs to work. She’s passionate about educating all students.

Needed to be gone a long time ago

My kids attend Disney and let me tell you Dr. Hagstrom hurt me beyond words, she is a racist and does not put the kids first nor the teachers , she is a Narcissist and lives in a bubble and never sees herself in the wrong , my son was in first grade and had a school performance so I decided to come and pull out my kindergartener who also attends Disney so he could see his brother perform . I waited in line by the CAC and I was one of the first people there with my child , it was almost time for the CAC doors to open and Dr. Hagstrom walks pass me and says how old is your son , I said 6 years old and she says “ DO YOU HAVE A BIETH CERTIFICATE OR SOME KIND OF PROOF TO SHOW ME HIS AGE “ I said no because I didn’t think you needed to bring a birth certificate to a school performance, I told her he attends Disney and is old enough she said “ WELL UNLESS YOU HAVE A BIRTH CERTIFICATE YOU CANT COME TO THE CAC PERFORMANCE “ I was told to leave , I went to the office to get proof that my my younger son is a student at Disney , it took a minute to get the paper , I went back to the CAC , the show already started there was no more line outside , I was sweating and I’m tears , I showed Mr. Hair the paper and I was let in , all of that hoopla and Dr. Hagatrom was sitting in the front row. I had missed most of my other child’s performance, I’m a single mother as well so I have to make it to these performances, I lied to my son and told him I saw the whole show when he asked me about it but I went home in tears and embarrassed. She is outdated , harsh and she verbally abuses the teachers because I’ve seen it , my son tells me she is really mean to the teachers there. She may be a great business women but her abuse and Racism is not welcomed here . Might I add the kids have the same Lincoln Park zoo/ shed Aquarium field trip and that’s it for the year booooooring , get her out of here !
