Bringing an issue to the BOV and President and not addressing the group is wrong. Then stamping the CAA name on it is even more wrong.

Paul Tamburino voluntarily stated that the Confederate Flag should be removed from The Citadel's Summerall Chapel with no provoking whatsoever. This act in itself acts as betrayal to The Citadel patriot dead, brothers who faught alongside them, as well as the many values, traditions, and memorials that The Citadel stands for.

Many of his comments on social media were abrasive, arrogant and rude towards other alumni. He is not an ideal person for alumni representation.

POS needs to be removed now, the VP of the CAA should always represent us in a favorable manner. His personal opinion should not have been voiced while holding a position with the Alumni Association, it makes it look like he represents all of us. Which he most certainly does not. Way to throw the school under the bus you jackass! Dixie is my fight song and that flag belongs in my chapel. St

Paul politicized a tragic event for his own agenda. He has caused undue strife and turmoil in the alumni. He does not represent a person that should be sitting on the executive committee to represent the long grey line. He should do the honorable thing no matter what comes of this, fall on his sword and resign. It is truly a sad day to be an alumni.

Its very disheartening to see such a divide between ourselves, when we need each other more than ever. This should have been a time for The Citadel to shine, and come together to be there for Emanuel AME and the Citadel families directly affected by what happened. Instead, we are divided and bickering amongst ourselves. Mr. Tamburrino's handling of the situation, at this particular time, and his blatant use of tragedy to push his own agenda is a negative reflection of us, and our beloved Institution. This is HIS voice, not OUR voice and with a heavy heart, I sign....

Can't bring myself to be comfortable having such a man represent myself as well as other alumni.
None of us have the right to speak for the whole. He presents himself as the common thought, while, as many have mentioned, makes advances on personal opinions and goals.

I recall an event September 14, 2015 when I was approached via phone call from a cadet asking for donations. Perfectly honest phone call. I told the young man that I was with family, cooking and would rather he send me teh information, and in order for me to review what was needed and that I would try to do all that I could to support the cause. It was just a bad time to talk as I prepared dinner.
Approximately 1 minute later, Paul Tamburrino called me from the Cadet Call Center, busting my balls practically demanding that I pay up, and that he, and I quote, "know where you live." WOW. REALLY!?!?!?
I just seemed very unprofessional that he thinks he has cause to bother me, after I made it perfectly clear, that I was not in a position to discuss donations at the present time.
I had not spoken to the man in over 24 years, but he feels he can use his position to call me after I asked to be notified in another manner? UNPROFESSIONAL at best!
