Removal of Paul Tamburrino as CAA VP

The man is not worthy of his ring or his job for that matter. There are many instances where he should be criminally investigated.

Mr. Tamburrino has now been "banned" from the stadium at all Citadel Football games for hazing three knobs in his club level suite. Be warned, get the word out, he is no mentor, he is a very sick man.

So Paul Tamburrino FINALLY resigned! Great News! Sorry for the delay in celebrating.... I was ACTUALLY deployed oversees and missed the news. Hey Paul, keep your BS in your pocket and stay away from my schools legacy.

The list of positions Paul has been removed from at the Citadel: The Citadel Family Association (CFA), The Citadel Alumni Association (CAA), The Citadel Exchange Club and even SC Vets for Jeb ("fake war stories and uniform patches not wanted”). Move on Tamburrino, keep your BS resumes and BS military service. Honor, Duty and Respect. Not: Dishonor, Lies and Bullying.

Paul reminds me of that wanna be Citadel grad Andy Williams, similar pattern of destructive and abusive behavior.

I'm happy to read that all this Tamburino mess has drawn to an end. Our officers and directors did a good and proper job taking charge of the issues and then following a right and just course to bring closure to this sortid affair.

When presented with the IO's Investigation Packet Paul Tamburrino resigned as CAA VP on 9. 3.15. The evidence was overwhelming. His first post after resigning was "F... You" and more typical Paul spew. So, Paul will continue to be Paul. The good news is, he no longer represents nor is the voice of the CAA. The process cost the CAA tens of thousands of dollars, the IO volunteered but the CAA had to hire an attorney. He knew what he had done, he could have saved us a lot of money if he had only resigned when this started in June. Among other things the evidence showed it was never about the flag (the flag is not mentioned in any of the petitions). This was only about Paul, his lies, his stollen valor, his bullying and his actions.

Remove him!!!

Mr. Green, This is a claim of Stolen Valor. I did look up your claims and you are correct, the 48th did not deploy. Perhaps he deployed with another unit? I have disagreed with his behavior and I think he should resign because of his behavior. I don't want to believe he would be so bold as to make such statements, worse yet, present himself as a role model to cadets and alumni as a successful man in civilian life and as an experienced and mentoring combat veteran as a Tank Commander and Special Operations. I hope Mr. Tamburrino will clear this up by presenting his DD-214. In this interview and the summary posted, he is also listed as Special Operations. The narrative is pasted here: "Paul Tamburrino, a Citadel alumnus and former Army Platoon Leader, knows tanks. They were the joke of the National Guard, failing to get certified so they could be sent over to Iraq to fight. If the CAA had done even an elementary background check they would know what we know now, without the embarrassment and hassle. Hopefully the CAA will learn from this and do its due diligence on all future CAA leadership applicants.

Paul Tamburrino has a lot of people looking at him now that he can not bully. Paul needs to resign, saving him-self and The Citadel Alumni embarrassment. I have only reviewed Pauls’ own words, not hearsay. Paul only supports his agenda of the day and his inflated ego, not minorities, not The Citadel and definitely Not The Citadel Alumni. Now I see he has said he was in the Army, but was actually in the National Guard reserves. He has said he is a Gulf War Veteran, when his National Guard Unit actually never went over. Stolen Valor…. What an embarrassment this guy is to veterans and the alumni NOT someone we want representing The Citadel Alumni for the next five years. We need to maintain our core values and integrity in those that represent us.

It is time Paul stepped down and resigned. If he had an interest in The Citadel and the CAA and not narcissistic agenda, this is exactly what he would have done already. However, I am sure he will continue his agenda of seeding hate and division within The Citadel and the CAA. Congratulations Paul, I hope you are proud of the chaos you have created.

I have never met nor have I ever spoken to Paul Tamburrino. I have no doubt that Mr. Tamburrino will receive a full ,fair and thorough hearing regarding the allegations brought against him. If it is found that he has not committed the acts of which he is accused then I am sure that he will receive a written public apology both to him and his family. If, on the other hand, it is found that he has committed the acts of which he has been accused he should immediately be relieved as VP of "The Association" and be publically censured for his acts In addition he should never be permitted to hold any position of responsibility or authority within The Citadel Family. That said these events have brought two levels of concern to mind. Upon reading some of the comments posted regarding the events at hand I am very saddened and somewhat embarrassed at their tone and tenor. As Citadel graduates we are many things and come from many walks of life. The vulgarities that we may have used as cadets were confined to the barracks and for the most part were not "ad homonym" attacks upon fellow cadets or graduates. They were certainly not for print or public dissemination. I can not imagine how a non Citadel graduate would view The Citadel after reading some of the comments regarding the issue at hand. Remember that we are all ladies and gentlemen and should conduct ourselves as such. Finally, I humbly suggest that a vetting process be initiated in order to avoid embarrassment in the future. All candidates for office within "The Association should be require to complete an in-depth background questionnaire allowing for a thorough vetting process. Bad behavior is typically a long term issue and raises its head often. While I have no idea if Mr. Tamburrino has committed the acts of which he has been accused the entire event is distasteful.
