Many students have been emotionally strained in result of Mrs. Evyette Jone's "snarky" comments and her overall incompetence for being a guidance counselor. We, the pupils of Tabb High School, have come to together to create a petition to have Mrs. Jones respectfully removed from her position in hope that the many, many students who have been mistreated, ignored, and etc. will come forward to fight for not just simply her removal, but an overall emotionally safer and more organized environment for students in need mentally/emotionally, academically, and for the school as a whole.

Ms. jones is a very inconsistent councilor. She does not help students with their personal problems, all she manages to do is find a way to to make the student feel bad about themselves. She insists that she is always open to having meetings with her students, but she constantly misses them and does not follow up prior to emails or even other meetings. She claims she knows what’s best for the student, without hearing their side of the story. Overall I strongly feel like she is a very incompetent guidance councilor and the students at THS deserve a better figure to go to for their person problems and questions regarding school.

I’ve been having some troubles with school this year. I went to jones for help and she said I was being dramatic and there was no reason for her to even attempt to do anything

I went to her with an issue and was on the verge of tears and she didn’t listen to me at all- just sat back in her chair and went on her phone. It was very disrespectful.
