Removal of Ineffective Station Commander at Hout Bay SAPS

Zero tolerance for any lawless behaviour.

You need to lead by example and your example was unacceptable, may your position be reconsidered and replaced by someone who wants to take our community to a place of peace, happiness and a lawfulness.

We need new commander

much as i support the police as they do have a hard job....it is their job to prevent breaches of the peace and I think it's a total lack of job performance to fail to uphold the peace The police should be apolotical!

I wholeheartedly agree. We need police who are willing to do their job, and have the interests of our community at heart. I have heard several complaints about the Station Commander, and can not believe that a violent protest took place right on their doorstep, but the Hout Bay SAPS were absolutely useless and did nothing to control the situation. If anything, the Station Commander enabled the situation, and used it to force her own agenda. I demand her removal. Several officers at HBSAPS are very good at their jobs, but this excludes the Station Commander and several other officers from which I have received poor service.

We can't have some incompetent guy run a police station in Hout Bay

We would like this to be investigated in a just and fair way as there will be a lot of policemen who do look after this community and work hard. Could it be that their hands were tied. Just a few polimen cannot hold back large amounts of people.

Totally and utterly shocked at the way the SAPS did not respond and ignored calls for help when residence were under attack in a small area in Hout Bay namely Penzance. No one came to assist. The same goes to the man whose wall was being broken down next to Darg...he was ignored too...no assistance whatsoever.

As a community we request a SAPS leader who takes her job seriously no matter the circumstances.

Had to send my staff home as I where unable to open my factory in brackenfell. Also no help came from this police department. Its a disgrace!

I'm applaud by the way this riot was handled. People's lives were in danger and we left our house with our 2 small kids to avoid protestors scaring our children and being hurt. I absolutely agree that the living conditions are not right and that the initial protestors have a reason for protesting. But, fit the police commissioner to do nothing and after 4 days of being violent protests damaging property, looting and blocking roads in and out of Hout Bay, with her doing nothing. She is not fit to wear the uniform, I call for her dismissal from the police force completely. She has failed as the person responsible for protecting our community and failing to arrest the rioters and dealing with this swiftly.

The handling of current unrest has indicated an incompetenence if not outright bias on decision making this is a disgrace!
