Last night many residents truly saw for the first time in the flesh what our community is up against.
An arrogant and condescending core of commissioners. Specifically Reis and Eichenberg. Combative towards citizens and deferent to the developers.
When this group of commissioners is faced with criticism they double down. They did it last night as they have done before when they voted to appeal the appellants victory.
Today we are asking you to REMEMBER last night. File it away. 2013 will be here soon. It can't come fast enough. Until then we must remain vigilant and monitor this boards every move to limit the damage done. They can continue to ignore our concerns, ignore our comments and the overwhelming public sentiment that the Jaindl plan is WRONG for our community. But they can't ignore us at the ballot box in 2013.
We then promise to message everyone of you who provides an email a youtube clip of the highlights (or rather lowlights) of last nights meeting on Oct. 1st 2013. We want to remind you what happened last night before you head to the ballot box, so it's fresh in your mind.
Your important and relevant questions were ignored, the commissioners provided non-answers to important questions, cut off citizens, gave condescending and curt answers, and most important they outright refused to hold a town hall meeting or special public hearing to address very real red flags that could affect us for decades.

The commissioners continue to dismiss public feedback regarding the current development plans. I am currently documenting their recent conduct to ensure these events remain part of the public record for the upcoming election.

The momentum generated by this petition demonstrates a profound commitment to holding our local officials accountable. It is clear that the community remains focused on the upcoming election and the necessity for change.

total embarrassment. how can they treat residents like that? they work for us not the developers. remember 2013.
