Saw Ken race at South Dakota circuit in Guyana in the early '70's. what an awesome performance! Surely he deserves this recognition, post haste.

As a friend of the late Ken Redfern I attended races from Croft to Thruxton.
Ken is still much remembered at Croft by everyone who competed against and watched him to competitors of today who never knew him. If Croft Circuit can name parts of the circuit after competitors who never raced at the circuit, namely Jim Clark and Mike Hawthorn, then they can surely commemorate a much missed local hero.

Ken was an inspiration to watch, I was only 17 when he was in his heyday, I would trundle to the race meets on my 1959 BSA A7. Motorcycles sure have come a long way since then.

I grew up watching Ken Redfern at Croft and still remember his classic style.

I remember seeing Ken Redfern for the 1st time at a Mallory park meeting riding a Norton Dommie overtaking Mike Hailwood riding a works Seeley & Percy Tait on the works Triumph through the Gerrards bend.
Also at Scarborough on John Coopers Triumph Trident, Cadwell park riding the works Dunstal Norton in his own unique riding style.

a bit before my time but his name has always been there, so I definitely think he deserves the recognition that others get and what better way than to re name the jim clark esses to a name more relevant! and then people will ask who was KEN?
