A new hospital will be more efficient in layout, more centraly located, and have more parking spaces.

An amazing opportunity which should be grasped to make health care in the Thames Valley world beating.

Only sensible option (look at the success of Swindon’s hospital- built out of the town, but easily accessible-with adequate car parking for patients and staff) Relocation of RBH should have happened long ago, before any further wasted investment, was poured into the “land locked” site!

The Royal Berkshire hospital is outdated with poor facilities and little scope to expand and improve. It needs to be relocated to allow for state-of-the-art healthcare for the Berkshire area

Fully support the idea of moving RBH from the current site. Every time I am told I need to go to RBH my heart sinks. How can I park? If I park in the Oracle and take a bus, how can I pay the exorbitant parking fees? What timings do I need to take into account? Taxi? Unwell people shouldn't have to even think about these issues.
The current site is an early 20th Century anomaly, with absolutely no room for further expansion. Locked in by housing, narrow residential streets. Bad parking.... Even for staff.
It's obvious that the hospital should move to a new, open, Greenfield site.

As Reading and the surrounding areas are becoming more populated we desperately need a new and bigger hospital with more facilities. The ambulances have had trouble reaching the hospital because of the volume of traffic on the roads. It would of course be helpful to have a bus link from Reading town centre to the hospital and adequate CHEAPER parking on hospital site. It is all about plain common sense really and should have been built a long time ago instead of upgrading the tired, old and crumbling RBH.

The RBH needs to be relocated. It needs good access for ambulances and general public. It needs good parking facilities which is lacking now.

To accommodate all the health needs of increased house building in the area Wokingham Borough is the best place with the space for a new hospital and required parking. Swindon hospital is just off the motorway and that works very well

New Hospital badly needed. Access is difficult from west reading. Either 2 buses or train and bus. No parking availability and what there is, is time limited and very expensive.

It would good access from the new location. It is just a nightmare if you drive during peak time to current site.

Agree- having worked at RBH buildings not fit for purpose, parking inadequate - staff get blacked in the car park due to congestion on the roads outside on a regular basis - hospital needs rebuild and moving

Battle Hospital should not have been closed. The RBH site is not big enough to take the current population. With increased building and population growth the hospital in its current position is unable to cope now. Parking is next to impossible for patients. Move the hospital out of town.
