There are so many negative reasons for keeping RBH on the existing site that they cannot be listed here. The attitude of Reading Council in arguing for remaining in Craven Road is so selfish. There arguments are so weak. The hospital is a facility NOT just for Reading council tax payers.

I agree reading is far too small to accomodate a state of the art hospital that Reading requires.

A new purpose built hospital providing there is adequate parking for BOTH staff AND patients and good public transport services too is a great idea

Currently having to access the RBH in Reading town centre is a trial for everyone to is over crowded, clearly falling apart in places, and where repairs have been done, it is obviously an expedient to get things moving again. Parking is a nightmare if the site cannot be accessed on foot or local transport.

The time has come to build a brand new hospital. To try and build this on the existing site will read to decades of delay, extra expense and probably a hospital that isn't the best possible Hospital. It is not important to where it is built but it should be built with easy access to both roads and public transport.

Please rebuild RBH on a site that is designed for the needs of a modern hospital. Space to expand, adequate parking and better facilities.

CERTAINLY SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THE EXISTING HOSPITAL

Quite obvious RBH needs relocating--no room on present site. If they were to try to develop there there would be years of disruption. Important that there is a REGULAR bus service from Reading centre to any new site. ?permanently circulating shuttle bus.

It was a mistake to move Battle Hospital facilities into RBH, there just wasn't the space then to allow parking for staff let alone patients and visitors. Don't compound the mistake by trying to upgrade the site.

Very good proposal

I support the initiative, but reforms are required within the NHS to make the service more efficient and add value for money. We just cannot keep pouring more money into a broken service. The site must not impact on existing infrastructure roads.

I fully support the move of RBH to Shinfield alongside the Rutherford.

Current site is not sustainable with the expwcted increased capacity due to surge of new homes built in znd around Reading. Traffic to access tbe hospital & Parking is also a huge issue

I agree that the main site in Reading has outgrown its usefulness. A new site is needed for a modern , energy efficient and accessible Hospital.

Isn’t this blindingly obvious? There is insufficient space on the existing site for the present hospital, let alone for a replacement.
