It’s a disgrace to postpone it

The new hospital should be a teaching and R&D one. With its excellent business, transport and knowledge networks, Reading is surely well-placed to become a centre of medical delivery and innovation, fully capable of collaborating with and rivalling Oxford.

The RBH needs to move near the science park in Shinfield so a hospital to meet the needs now and in the future can be met. Wards that can meet the needs of changing times ie wards with patients with the highest need rather than speciality wards. Needs of staff in regard to better flooring for occupations within the hospital who spend most of the time on their feet. Better insulation to keep heat out in summer and in the building in winter. Personal experience of baking in the maternity block with 1 fan shared between 2 bays is nit reccomended. The need for transport links is essential. Green Park Station with shuttle busses to hospital. Speedy access from the M4 will enable ambulances better access. There are so many improvements for Reafing and Wokingham and Bracknell patients. Newbury is no different as already has difficult access so maximising their local hospital is vital but route from M4 will be easier and quicker. Parking for patients will be essential as disabled persons struggle with any form of public transport.

I believe a new hospital situated near the much improved M4 Junction 11 is a good location between Wexham park & Swindon hospitals. Junc 13 is often affected by accidents on the A34. There is also a very good community hospital in Thatcham already.

We run a cancer centre here in the science park for NHS and Private patients (Rutherford Cancer centre) and the patients are always so grateful to have ample parking and ease of access from surrounding areas. There is plenty of room to expand in the science park and would make sense to take the hospital away from a heavily congested part of Reading

I would like to support new state of the art hospital. it time we should take it serious and build new hospital because existing hospital no further capacity to extend.

A new dedicated hospital location, with good access and road links, plus sufficient parking and space for all its depts in one dedicated site, and a very close proximity to Reading University (with potential for related medical training and research provision) is definitely better than an overcrowded yet fragmented and traffic-congested location at the existing RBH site. They should take the opportunity to relocate whilst the ideal space is there, and whilst good funding is available.

A new, state of the art, hospital, with accessibility and realistic parking targets has to be the sensible option.

It's completely obvious that a major Hospital and the communities it serve should be located with the best access for now and the future. It's current location is a nightmare to get to.

A hospital with space for adequate parking and new facilities is needed.

There does not seem to be sufficient space in Reading.

I think by moving royal Berks hospital is a very good idea to Wokingham borough as reading is a very cramped place and not a good place for the hospital to expand.

Better facilities and access required for growing population, staff and patients!

RRBH must be moved as it's current premises are old, cramped and expensive to maintain. With all the new housing in the borough we need a 21st century hospital built asap.
