my wife and I LOVE COSTCO----BUT NOT THE LOCATION--HAVE LIVED HER LONG ENOUGH TO SEE THE VILLAGE OF STUART LOSE ITS SMALL TOWN CHARM--SOON TO BE A TRAFFIC FILLED CEMENT COVERED LOCATION AS OTHERS HAVE SEEN IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.

I agree that this location for a Costco is the wrong place. I'm not against Costco, but it needs to be in the right place. There are vacant acres on south Federal Highway that could benefit from this type of retail. There are vacant acres on Kanner Hwy close to I-95 that would be ideal, Folks from Port St Lucie who use I-95 would have a better route to Costco near the freeway, and Costco would benefit from the increased traffic. the current location removes the natural wetlands, which we so need right now with our compromised water quality. No mitigation of wetlands placed elsewhere are natural or environmentally wise. This should be placed somewhere more appropriate. Not to mention that is right next to a high school, just not right,

The increase in traffic on Kanner Highway would be horrific! As it stands now there's a 200+ apts. being constructed on the corner of Kanner and where the Memorial Bridge is and the only way out for this complex is Kanner Hwy. So add that to the Costco development and the traffic would be unbearable and there would be more accidents.

We do not need a Costco and apartments right next to a high school and a prison. Build Costco off of I-95 out west away from everything. We do not want the traffic and crime from PSL and everywhere else coming to our town, , it is already bad enough with all the idiots moving here from the North and everywhere else. The crime is already getting bad because of all the new building that we do not want or need.

I oppose the over development of this location, the traffic and congestion it will bring and the destruction of the wetlands. Would love to have a Costco in our county, just don’t think that this location is the right one.

I support the traditional, low growth model, that Martin County originally adopted. I certainly do not support a Cosco at the proposed location, nor do I support the apartments proposed in that same area. Thank you.

I can't imagine the impact of the additional traffic from Kanner back to US 1 and over the Roosevelt Bridge. The intersection at Monterey and Kanner is already one to avoid at rush hour. A Costco would be far better placed off of the Bridge Road exit along 95. And why oh why do we need more gas pumps in that area with Wawa, RaceTrac, and now Circle K's standing up mega gas stations all over Kanner Hwy and US 1? And did you notice that there are closed restaurants off of SE Federal Hwy (Bobby Rubinos - 3373 SE Federal Hwy 1 and Cowboy's - 2902 SE Federal Hwy 1)? Why not redevelop those before building new ones?
