Live at 15 broad and have a 10 month old. This is very disruptive. No reason for having to do this type of work at night in a residential neighborhood

The fact that this is permitted is beyond deplorable. It is disruptive and supremely inconsiderate to the community. The noise keeps my children up and all alternate efforts we've taken to drown out the noise have been futile (to give you an idea of how boisterous it is). This better be addressed soon or else votes will turn resoundingly. Listen carefully and take action soon. I'm a concerned parent and downtown Manhattan community member.

We all will be voting people out of office if this circumstance does not change. Quality of Life is super important to us all. Stop rubber stamping projects and enforce after hour restrictions!!!

This noise is terrible---incessant ! I live at 15 Broad and the noise actually vibrates off of each building, making it worse---This noise must Stop !

The abuse of these variances is atrocious and is detrimental to the neighborhood and the people who have made downtown a livable place to be. I will vigorously work against the re-election of any official who ignores these complaints!

I live at 15 Broad and the construction noise has been keeping my kids and ourselves up at night. It is very disruptive and construction after hours should absolutely not be allowed in areas with residential buildings. I am also a real estate broker and I am extremely shocked and disappointed at the permission to do so.

Multiple closely situated but independent construction sites around 61st/2nd Avenues create a cacophony of noise six days a week for over the past 13 months. Is Saturday mornings also - is that allowed?

The construction and garbage service noise is terrible. They treat this neighborhood like it's not residential and its time they wake up and understand that this is a very residential area. Garbage shouldn't be picked up here at 4 in the morning. Unless it's an emergency, I don't know why they are allowed to jackhammer the street starting at 10 pm at night.

A greater priority needs to be given to "quality of life" in the evaluation and planning of construction activities. Innovation is required by the city, consultants and contractors to develop and / or use materials and techniques that reduce the very real disturbance and stress that neighborhood construction noise causes. This, along with a limitation of after hours variances and the stricter application of penalties would help. It starts with the City.
