Khaled El ghayesh, a 25 year old, an egyptian engineer. He was working in his final project in Lebanon and went to Syria with some friends in his weekend just to visit and site-see. He arrived in Demashq 26 March 2011, he was supposed to meet some friends the next day that's when we figured he is missing. We found out after a couple of days that he was arrested by the Syrian Government for taking some pictures there! He has no link of what so ever to any revolutions nor does he have any political interests! He was there as a tourist visiting some friends..

The silence from Damascus is becoming unbearable because it feels like every hour stretched into a lifetime while we wait for any tiny scrap of news about Khaled. I keep reading the messages from people who knew him back at Cairo University and it breaks my heart that someone just visiting for the weekend is now completely gone from our sight.

I can see the count ticking up toward one hundred and it really feels like people are finally starting to pay attention to where Khaled is. Please take a second right now to send the link to a few more people because we really need to keep this momentum moving forward before things go quiet again.

He just went for a weekend trip. How can they hold someone who has nothing to do with politics. Disgraceful.
FREE KHALED NOW!!! Totally innocent guy, just a tourist. My heart goes out to his family praying for his safe return.
Engineers and normal people have no business being caught up in this mess. Release him immediately.
Cant imagine what his parents are going through. He was just a tourist taking photos. Stop this suffering.
Khaled is a good person and he was just visiting. This is not fair at all. Let him go home to his family.
