R Vineel Krishna, an IIT Madras alumnus, joined the IAS in 2005 and was posted as the District Collector of Malkangiri 16 months ago. He is known to be popular with the local people and interacts closely with them.
We urgently ask the Government of India and the Orissa State Government to intensify efforts towards obtaining the release the Vineel Krishna; and ensure his safe return to his family.
