A dom in BDSM has more respect for his sub's limits and fears, than this father and judge for 3 scared and uncomfortable children. Now those childrens' youth is ruined in juvie because they don't want to suffer a bad parent?

As if divorce were not damaging enough to children, this will do nothing but exacerbate things for these children. What on earth was the court thinking imprisoning them, and separating them from their mother and each other? Return these children to their mother, and to each other. They did nothing to earn this extreme punishment at a very difficult time in their lives.

The fact that the father left for two weeks knowing that his kids are in juvy should tell the whole story, that he is an uncaring batardo at BEST.
This is the problem with elected judges in the US. They are not qualified to judge and ruin a lot of lives.
I feel for these poor children and am praying for their welfare and some semblance of justice in Bloomfield Hills.

Not only should the children be released immediately, the judge should be ordered to pay for individual therapy and family therapy for as long as it takes for any trauma to be resolved and healed. Additionally, the judge should be removed from the bench after being incarcerated for as many days as each child. Shame on her!

Kids are smart and know what they see and hear in their own families. If you think a kid is being "brainwashed" then the first thing you do is inspect the PARENT. My 10-year-old son hates his abusive father and doesn't want to subject himself to that situation. Is that a reason to throw HIM into detention?

The judge has made an irreversible mistake. Let's give her the benefit of the doubt and say she is correct. These are still children, American citizens, who have committed no crime. A more appropriate response would have been to place them in temporary custody of the state, give them court appointed advocates and loyers and have them go to counseling. Nobody should go to jail for choosing not to have a relationship with a parent. Even if the children have not been abused or witnessed abuse, they believe that they have. That is their reality. They deserve to heard, respected and at the least a professional who works with children to sort this out not an authorative, reactive, power hungry judge who will not be disboyed, are you kidding?

You know what? I saw my father throw my mother into a fridge and slam the door on her repeatedly. But to everyone in our church he was a great stand up kind of guy and wouldn't hurt anyone....
You never know who you don't really know, and this judge is wrong, even if they are brainwashed, they need therapy and then a slow re-introduction if, and only if, the therapist agrees.

This is a case of cruel injustice. Even if we assume for the sake of argument that the judge was correct in her appraisal that the kids are 'brainwashed," how is sending them to juvenile detention possibly the correct move? It's only going to further the divide them from their father who is so concerned with their well being he's left the country when he's got the power to stop this. If the mother is an issue, remove them from the home.
