I understand the students should be disciplined by the school but not with charges with the police. Have them have a few extra days of school scrubbing toilets or something. A criminal record is a bit harsh in my opinion.

The is seriously ridiculous. A senior prank with 4 water balloons and it seems to be the end of the world. I know for a fact thing have been done that are far more destructive than 4 water balloons.

I understand these kids had their end of the year school prank, but mine was worse than water balloons and I didn't get in trouble for mine, let alone get criminal charges. That's taking things too far.

There is nothing wrong with what these young men did people need to stop and be regular again let the kids/young adults have fun and enjoy life before they have to deal with the stress of adulting. Harmless is my eyes . Atleast there not selling drugs robbing students or beating them up .. Think about that .

As a student and having been there during the water ballon prank I know that no harm was caused, so why press charges? Everyone took it as a joke and we all thought it was pretty funny. Criminal charges for having a water balloons is absolutely ridiculous. They should worry about other important things, because kids will be kids at the end of the day

As an MHS graduate, it makes me so sad and frustrated with our school system to see something so petty blown to such huge proportions. They were kids being kids, and if you had a problem with their conduct it should've been handled in the school, not outsourced to the Minot PD. This just points more to the fact that the people who we've put in charge of molding our childrens' futures are obviously not up to the task, and would rather pawn any difficulties off to another organization to deal with. I'm sorry MHS but, with teenagers, it's not all smooth sailing. You're going to have to learn to take the waves or get out of the water!
