stop the nonsense !! these kids should be given awards for sticking out High School and being in the school spirit..Spirit of fun and celebration.. Yay I made it !!! A pat on the back would be nice!

As a former student of MHS I am ashamed the school had to resort to law enforcement for a simple matter of punishing the students for their misbehavior that could have been by the school administration. This did not warrant police intervention or criminal charges as no one was in danger. Not only that but the lack of transparency is also alarming. I myself was a troublemaking teen at MHS. However, I was dealt with fairly and promptly by the school and I learned my lesson and will now be pursuing an advanced graduate degree. I did not have to worry about a criminal record preventing me from any job or education opportunities. This situation does not require any large intellectual capacity to realize the response by the school was excessive. Right the wrong you have done and drop the charges and instead punish the students by other means. The school should use this as a learning opportunity to effectively punish and teach students in the future. The goal of the school isn't to harm the futures of these students but to help them learn from their mistakes.

Charging teenagers with disorderly conduct over a few water balloons is beyond ridiculous. It was a waste of law enforcement' time and it is laughable to consider this worthy of criminal charge. This school should be embarrassed for their actions.

They are still young and will make mistakes. That is how we learn. Don't let their teenage angst ruin their lives. It is plain ridiculous that they would even consider charging them. Don't they remember what it was like to be young and the last week of school.

Even though these student shouldn't have done this, the charges are way way to severe and could cause a problem for these kids to get into college, etc.

Seriously for a water balloon smh..... when we lived in Texas our school expected this at the end of the school year ..... water balloon fight..... getting everyone with shaving cream and baby powder .... the teachers would just sit there and laugh with us .....let kids be kids

I believe in consequences for your actions but this is ridiculous! Better ways to discipline the students within the school system
