In these days of diminishing numbers can the UCC afford to lose a whole congregation.

Gretta speaks to my faith and, no, I am not an atheist. With a little more imagination and a little less dogma, you could figure out why. Steve, West Hill adherent and PAR contributor

It is Gretta's focus on how we live rather than illogical belief systems that has led my family and me to West Hill every week. Now those same illogical beliefs are closing the doors to us all - without ever going through a dialogue. Disheartened. But it is not too late to start a meaningful discussion with people who think like Gretta and seek the truth like Gretta. Tony Chan

Dialogue not discipline needs to continue.

Using Gretta Vosper as a scapegoat to prevent the United Church of Canada from opening its eyes to inclusive and expansive Chritianity is unconscionable!

As the West Hill congregation, ministered by Rev. Gretta Vosper, seeks to live with kindness, integrity and justice for all, I urge and hope that the leadership of the United Church of Canada to deal with Rev. Vosper and the West Hill Congregation in a like manner. Wei Djao

I would not have joined, nor continued to attend West Hill United, were it not for Gretta and her commitment to further ethics arriving out of the Christian Tradition that I think is the function of the United Church of Canada.

I am still hoping that the United Church will embrace an expansive definition of Christianity.

Certainly the process has not been very "Christian". A predetermined result makes the process a sham. I have been with the United Church through my life and the lack of dialogue is counter to the history of the church.

I am very disappointed in our United Church leaders and the board's decision to prevent Rev Gretta Vosper from continuing with her ministry.I think it is a shame to use Gretta Vosper as an example of the United Church's archaic thinking and its failure to keep up with modern thinking.

The meaning of the word "God" falls across the spectrum. Pushing the spectrum boundaries of science and intelligence in search of life's meaning I see as a responsibility and feel Gretta is doing the same. Thankful we still have some iconoclasts like Gretta to help us move spiritually forward and promote a viable sustaining community.

I returned to the United Church after decades away because I felt that gretta and her ideas spoke to me. If she is defrocked, I will leave again. Please keep some space for me and others like meq
