In addition to not following guidelines that are in place, we were told by the redistricting staff that splitting of schools would be addressed and the goal was to eliminate this as much as possible. Given the maps, this is not happening at all which again does not create a sense of community and creates an issue with volunteers and attendance at events.

The criteria for redistricting has been clearly spelled out. Please follow the criteria established for all schools, including Hillside Elementary.

Current policy and guidelines should be followed. Students should attend schools close to their neighborhoods. Traffic considerations should be taken included in decisions.

Please revise and redraw these maps to follow the School Board's guidelines of Georgraphical proximity! Hillside Elementary's school district is non sensical and gerrymandered. It violates the School Board's own guidelines and should be adjusted.
