The current plan for Hillside Elementary does not comply with capacity and proximity guidelines outlined by the county. I firmly reject this plan.

Although I will be unable to attend the monthly meeting scheduled for 12/18 at Dunwoody Springs Elementary, please accept my signature as my opposition to the redistricting map presented on 12/11.

We need nothing less than vigorous community opposition to this. Schools should be based around neighborhoods, not around political agendas.

I am concerned we are slowly losing the community schools to what seems like political power plays by the administration. The agenda seems set regardless of the public concern

This redistricting completely abandons the Board's own doctrines of proximity and traffic patterns. Why have guidelines if you aren't going to abide by them.

I am opposed to the proposed redistricting maps which violate redistricting criteria and do not allow children to attend schools close to their residence and bus children to schools that are at or above capacity. Busing children out of their communities decreases parential involvement and over crowds our school. These children have at least 3 schools that are closer in proximaity.
