Reject Scott Pruitt, Climate Change Denier, as EPA Administrator

Mr. Pruitt has not demonstrated stewardship of the environment in his own state. He should not be allowed to jeopardize the environmental health of the other 49 states.

Scott Pruitt would undermine the very purposes the EPA was created to serve

The holy grail is to save our planet, rather than to protect short term profits of the fossil fuel industry.

Pruitt will potentially create environmental disaster of global proportions which anyone who has children and grandchildren should be actively engaged in preventing. The vast majority of other nations recognize the reality of climate change because of human fossil fuel emissions. There is something profoundly self-serving or profoundly ignorant with a person such as Pruitt who is a throwback to an un-enlightened historical period, pre-Galileo. So sad for America.

The head of the EPA should be a champion of protecting the environment, not destroying it.

Every second is a moment we can't afford to waste in our attempt to recover the health of this planet. While there may be factors beyond our control it is minds like these that would have you believe it's ok to pillage the land, resources, and essential water itself in the name of profit or some distorted perception of greatness. It would be laughable and a deplorable choice to have his name associated with the agency (which should have our best interests and those of a sound healthy environment at its core)!

I was appalled to hear of this nomination! We need someone who respects science and will help preserve our planet. To undo the Paris Peace Accord is frightening. It was such hard work to get so many countries to agree to work together to fight global warming. Please deny his appointment.

This is a counterproductive and worrisome choice for us, our children and future generations. As a leader in the world, it is threatening to other nations and life as we know it on this planet.

"Alt right" is defined as racist, white supremicist, anti Semite, anti immigrant and anti feminist by the New York Times. Let us not forget the true meaning of alt right. You think that you can control these people. I don't think so. Your future as Republicans will be linked with these people. Don't you want the best possible Republican candidates for our country?

I will not stand by silently while a president-elect who was rejected by a majority of voters puts us on a dangerous, destructive and irreparable course. For a president elect who claims to be about "law and order," at best he doesn't comprehend what he spouts. At worst he is deliberately deceitful. Nominee Pruitt is unfit to administer and uphold the nation's environmental protection laws. The US cannot stick its head in the sand about climate change; we must demonstrate leadership of the highest order--and the nomination of Pruitt is not it. Climate change is one of the world's most serious problems. Leaders don't deny problems, they *solve* them. To send that message to Trump, Pruitt must be rejected as head of the EPA.
