I think building a garage by forcing the structure into a zone that does not allow such a structure is a slap in the face to the residents of Naples, and our officials are being disingenious in supporting it.

I opposed the building of the parking garage on 4th and 4th as I feel current parking is adequate for commercial business on 5th. I would rather see any new commercial building proposals put before the City Council limit the density levels to those already established and discourage any additional need for a parking garage.

I vote against the parking garage at 4th and 4th and urge the city and its developers not to destroy the natural inherent charm that is naples. You are attempting to bite the hand that feeds you.

This parking structure is unnecessary and will have an adverse impact on the Old Naples charm and attraction to residents/visitors. It is also a poor use of tax funds.

Until the 5th Aves relaxed zoning on parking requirements is returned to normal, you will never fix the problem of parking. You will add more parking into the pool and allow developers to build without having to provide real parking and will be is the same place with parking as 5th Ave is today. Besides, paying millions for a lot and construction of a new garage and then having 1/3rd of the spaces already reserved for the entity that sold the lot seems I'll advised based on the $/space construction cost on the remaining 2/3rd spaces. The math won't work. There's just so much wrong with this proposed garage to support it at this time.

Public transport is the direction to head in.
Fifth avenue will soon look like Mercato, but without restaurants, and cafes etc. as new buildings only will house real estate offices and financial advisors.

The city should be making developers provide their own parking per the city code. The city should NOT be providing parking for them.
