the construction of a multi level garage will increase traffic and ruin the character of the neighborhood.

I strongly vote no on this purchase. If anything this should be not be debated when most residents aren't in town. Smacks of collusion with the developers.

old naples is a neighborhood zoned for residential use, not for a parking garage. if a discussion needs to happen, make it when most residents who will be affected are in town. this is madness! please stop!!!

A public garage in historic residential Old Naples detracts from the nostalgic, preserved, aspects of the residential neighborhood. It is unsafe to incorporate more traffic in this area.

Why are the mayor and council so beholden to developers who have no commitment to the character and charm of our town? Seriously, has anyone thought to closely examine the relationships that may exist between all these parties?

Naples would be better served with a garage at Goodlette and 41 area.
This area is developing very fast with many condos and commercial buildings

Please do not destroy the thing that makes Old Naples so appealing......minimal traffic and tranquility. This kind of "progress" is what destroys beautiful beaches and neighborhoods. $$$$$$ is capable of ending what Old Naples is all about. Please, please, please, vote no.

The city has more to gain by considering other alternatives for parking, not allowing rezoning, and thereby promoting private residents in a residential aarea.

As our representatives, we ask that you vote "NO" on purchasing the parcels on 4th and 4th, AND NO ON THE PARKING GARAGE!! the neighborhood is zoned for residential use. Please respect the residential boundaries and follow the land codes!! Naples attracts people for its lively retail/restaurant mix and walkability. We are loosing the charm that brought so many of us here!
Don't miss the forest for the trees!

Andres Duany suggested an additional parking garage but I do not recall his ever recommending that a 350 parking space garage be placed at 4th and 4th in the middle of an Old Naples RESIDENTIAL neighborhood.

A multi level parking garage will change the character and charm of Old Naples. Please locate it in another area that is already zoned commercial, not in the proposed one. Too much traffic in a residential neighborhood would result! Already congested.

This parking structure is;
1. On land owned by Hoffmann Commercial who secured permits to install 5th Ave.restaurants at "The French" & the new "Sail" (5th Ave.& 4rd) by pledging that parking space.
Under the proposed contract with the City Hoffmann is ceded 113 spaces in perpetuity for his restaurant parking. ("the contract reserves 113 parking spaces for tenants in the Adjacent Property owned by Seller and its affiliates. Recent parking spots in Old Naples have sold for $32K each (6th Avenue garage). Providing 113 parking spaces free to the Seller is a benefit worth in excess of $3.6 MM for the Seller. Since the appraised value of the property is $5.75 MM, if you add the $3.6MM benefit to the $6MM purchase price , that would bring the actual purchase price to $9.6MM which is well above even the Seller's appraisal.).
2. The proposed parking structure is close to the beach such that it will be used by hotel & residents from beyond the Old Naples area.
I vote no to the parking garage
enough is enough. we oppose.
