A garage should not even be considered- let's not turn Naples into a Ft Lauderdale or an overpopulated city. We should retain the charm - it's been destroyed enough.

This garage is not needed or wanted by the residents of Old Naples. It's ridiculous that funds are being used for this garage where the funds can be used elsewhere where it is needed.

There is so much congestion in this area, already, that this parking garage makes no sense at all. You will bring all this extra traffic in and pretty soon no one will want to come, anymore, because of the crowds.

THIS IS A SNEAK ATTACK WHILE WINTER RESIDENTS ARE AWAY. I OPPOSE CHANGING THE RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD I BOUGHT INTO. THE DEVELOPMENT ON 5TH AVENEUE HAS ALREADY CHANGED THE CHARACTER.

I feel the residents of Olde Naples should have the right to a say in this matter as it will effect our daily lives. I thought the city council is suppose to be representing the residents not developers. Doesn't seem that way!

we are starting to loss the "CHARM" of Olde Napales. stop... look at Sanibel Island. one lane street, no big parking garages.. traffic bad, but all used to it and accept it.. all know that the charm is worth MORE then the growth..... too much growth, no more charm, no more visitors.... stop.. work on 3rd street.. need helps. 5th ave and old naples fine as is. "if its not broken, leave it alone". parking agarge needed east of trail. this way folks park there and will shop east of 41. the walk path to cross 41, to get to east side. is silly and not worth much.

The way this is being pushed through while everyone is gone for the summer is a disgrace. CRA funds were not meant to be used for this.

Please vote "No" on the parking garage. Think of the most charming places you've ever visited. They were probably oases of calm beauty. They were probably walkable. Old Naples attracts people for these reasons. Having the lively retail/restaurant mix that is currently Fifth Avenue is a good thing as well, but more is not necessarily better.

Old Naples needs a balance between the business interests of 5th Av. S. and the interests of residents who don't want charming Old Naples to turn into a city with traffic congestion. 5th Ave. S. already has two parking garages and on-street parking. Let's not kill the goose who laid the golden egg.
