REJECT PUBLIC GARAGE IN RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD

i oppose the purchase and potential future development of another parking garage in old naples.

City Council must STOP the approval of developing every square inch of land in Naples - including this additional parking garage! It only encourages more development and traffic! Only developers prosper and no care is given to what is left of a once charming and accessible town.

Please stop the discussion and vote NO for bldg parking garage at 4th and 4th. This will ruin our quiet and peaceful neighborhoods and destroy the ambiance and flavor of Olde Naples.

This is a terrible idea! What is the problem that is trying to be solved, other than disposing of excess money? Stop development that is destroying the very little bit of charm that is left here! It's bad enough that the City allows the charming older houses to be demolished and replaced with soulless residences that are built from lot lie to lot line with very little green space in between.

I am against garage. I live at 880 8 th Ave S and can barely make it to 5 th Ave with traffic

Our family is against construction of a public garage in a residential neighborhood

As a full-time resident that lives on 4th Street North and Central Avenue, I vehemently oppose the purchase of this land on 4th St. N and 4th Ave S for the purposes of constructing a parking garage. A parking structure at this location it will greatly disrupt a residential neighborhood, causing considerable congestion and unwanted traffic. At just a few blocks to the beach, this parking garage will most likely be used by non-residents to get free beach parking. We should not be spending up to $15M in taxpayers' money to fund a parking lot that is not necessary. I want our city officials and planners to reconsider their commitment to preserving and protecting the character, charm, and small town feel of Old Naples as they have promised to do. This parking garage would be a costly mistake and as a taxpayer ask that you do not move forward with this purchase. Sincerely, Ed Hyer

As a full-time resident that lives on 4th Street North, I vehemently oppose the purchase of this land on 4th St. North and 4th Ave S for the purposes of constructing a parking garage. At this residential location it will most likely be used for beach goers and cause considerable congestion and unwanted traffic. I ask that Council respect the residential boundaries and follow land codes. The City Council should follow the intent of CRA legislation and spend our tax dollars on projects that align with that legislation and where there is real need. We want our city officials and planners to reconsider their commitment to preserving and protecting the character, charm, and small town feel of Old Naples as the town's elected officials have promised to do. Naples has lost its appeal as a gem on the west coast. The profiteers seem to do as they please.

Naples is losing its small town feel. Bigger is not always better

The City should be focusing on "Preservation time", not "Miami time".

Let's try and keep the charm that is Naples.

I have grown up here and have seen Naples change from a small town to a metropolitan area that doesn't care about local residents who are sick of the so called progress that has ruined our town.

If this gets passed, every city council member should be required to wear a button that says," I sold the city to developers. But vote for me again, anyway."
