I think that the need for parking will decrease due to Uber, Lyft and autonomous cars, so the garage will be obsolete before it has lived out it's useful life.

Short sighted plan will be blight and financial burden. The part of Naples downtown that needs development is east of 41. Improve the pedestrian experience across 41. I also don't understand why the city doesn't charge for parking in exiating garage. The city needs to encourage transportation alternatives, walking, biking, bike sharing, Zip cars, Uber, Lyft, etc.

As a lifelong resident I have witnessed the de-escalation of Naples' small town ambiance and feel the addition of another parking garage will further overwhelm the 5th Avenue and 3rd Street South congestion. Please don't let this become another Miami !!!!

I strongly o p p o s e plans for parking garage on 4th Ave or anywhere in Old Naples. The existing 2 garages appear more than sufficient for Old Naples.

Part of the charm of Naples is the lack of urban influences. Naples is a quaint and quite lovely town in SWFA. Please leave intact.

Property is zoned residential.
Size of garage is 3 times what the original plan called for.
other parking alternatives are available.
price is too high for City to pay developer.
suggest a public-private partnership for much smaller garage envisioned by Duany in the area.

Please keep residential neighborhoods residential!! I live at the corner of 4th Ave S and GSBS. We are also in the process of building our next home directly across the street on the other corner of 4th Ave S and GSBS. That is how much we love this NEIGHBORHOOD. We expected, and were prepared for, the few people who walk past our home on the way to the beach access to cut through our well manicured lawn. We were also prepared for those who park in the beach spots to leave some garbage behind. This is expected and manageable. What is not in any way acceptable is for HUNDREDS of people to do the same. We did not spend millions of dollars on real estate on this corner of Olde Naples for residential to become commercial. I sincerely hope that City Council acts on behalf of city residents and votes NO on the parking garage.
I vigorously oppose this garage!
