No parking garage in a residential area!

I Just purchased a condo across the street and I had no idea this was happening. I am very concerned that this will significantly impact our property with increased traffic, noise, safety, reduced light and further congestion in an area of already high traffic and large building, such as the new condominium complex being built right next door. It's not clear to me why this is necessary and why in this space. The pressure on the town will increase, there will be even more pressure on the beach, which has no facilities and seems to be deteriorated in the last few years do to this high pressure, water and beach quality is down. That's an area that tax payer dollars should target. In the off season the area has more than enough parking and in the high season everything is so crowded and traffic is an issue so I'm not sure why you would want create more challenges. Please vote no on this project. Sincerely, Mark R. Cunningham

Naples is special because it has a natural feel to it as opposed to a city feel with garage buildings everywhere Naples is unique like the Eiffel Tower You do not see parking garages around the Eiffel Tower

Is this truly needed? Is this what I'm paying taxes for ??

A 350 space garage has been found to be unnecessary at this time. Are you representing the desires of ALL residents of Naples or just one? Let's put a hold on this deal and rethink more intelligently how to create smart growth in our piece of paradise.

It all gets down to whether city council, using taxpayer money, will once again subsidize the affluent property owners and developers of 5th Ave. S,, or will they do the right thing by taking substantial steps to improve the blighted areas of Naples and the lives of the affected people.

I think it would be a horrible mistake and blight on Naples to buy this property and build a parkade. It only encourages more people downtown.

Residential neighborhoods need to stay that - residential. We have enough development in the corridor dedicated for commercial

Totally insane! Downtown Naples has become so conjested in season that it's not worth the fight anymore. Pretty sad, as full time residents, we can't enjoy it!

NO. I oppose the purchase on the land at 4th and 4th for use as a parking gargage.

What sort of pretzel logic are these city leaders using? No doubt they ALL have some conflict of interest...there is much more to their agendas. The entire body politic is practicing a new kind of stupid in this country...too bad Naples is in the same condition. Like all of us, I hate being patronized

First, announcing this in June and voting on it in August seems underhanded and is a slap at the residents of Naples who are away during the summer. Second, this parking garage if it was being done by a private developer would be opposed as it creates more traffic, more congestion and impacts a residential neighborhood. Third, if you are going to add a parking garage do it on existing commerical property not in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Fourth, the use of public funds to assist private developers is not the intended use of CRA monies. I strongly oppose the process and the development of this huge parking lot.

I'd like to sign/vote seven times against this proposal. This garage would change the atmosphere of the area in a way my wife, family, and I strongly oppose.
