I have lived in Old Town off 123 on West Drive most of my adult life. If this building gets built it will ruin Old Town and the awesome experience of living here.

As a resident of The Crossings who already contends with high vehicular traffic on a daily basis, I am adamantly opposed to ANY high density development on this site. The suggested "Better Plan" of approximately 22-32 townhomes for permanent residents is far more suited to the site and our community.

The quality of life for residents of Fairfax City will diminish with the construction of multi-unit rental property.

I am in disagreement with the current development plan for the Davies property. Whatever is voted on needs to fit in architecturally, height- wise, with the surrounding communities. I am not interested in rentals, but hope to have buyers who will be permanent- and be invested in the maintenance of the building ( i.e.- townhouses). We do not need student housing for GMU, more traffic and congestion, nor do we need ugly high rise apartments.

We ask the Fairfax City Council to disapprove the proposal by Paradigm Company to build a large apartment building at 4131 Chain Bridge Road, the Davies Property.

This is a truly terrible idea. I moved to Fairfax more than 25 years ago because it had a small town feel and was in reach of DC. The steady erosion of Fairfax's appeal will have a long term negative effect on the city and it's ability maintain the core features that make it so attractive. The proposed development is a disaster in this regard and will make an already congested traffic situation even worse. If this goes ahead, I'm moving out

I am opposed to the Paradigm proposal. I have been a resident of Fairfax City for over 33 years and believed and expected to live in this historic homey town forever. The Paradigm proposal does not fit into the surrounding neighborhoods and would have an adverse effect on us. The high density apartments are not the answer for this historic neighborhood. The result will be an increase in crime, traffic and noise which will all bring a loss to property values.

As residents near the proposed development, we have a number of concerns. As noted by others, the current development will be too dense, result in more traffic, more pollution, reduced green space (fewer trees), reduced walk paths, and not to mention an additional burden on already tight City resources. Lastly, the design will not add value to the character of Fairfax City's community. Please reject the Paradigm/Davies proposal.

Townhouses would be a much better use of this property for all the reasons listed in the petition.

Paradigm has done developments in Falls Church and Arlington that are completely out of character for the area. Putting something like this in Fairfax will utterly destroy the charm of the city.

The proposed density is much too high. It is not even close to the City's zoning standards.

Opposed to the paradigm proposal as presented. Would like to see more commercial.

The proposed Apartments would be a big mistake, visually as well as the increase in traffic from the 413 parking spaces exiting both University Blvd and Chain Bridge Road causing more gridlock (just what we need more of).

NO, we do not agree with a Huge building on Chain Bridge road! It will take away the charm of Fairfax !! Too much traffic, as it is, Chain Bridge road is already too busy and we do not need more traffic!

This huge building does not belong on a main road as Chain Bridge. As it is the traffic is horrible. Now imagine the traffic 20 times more!! Send this type of building which is huge and which will bring hundreds of cars to roads and areas that are not main roads.

This would also guarantee a new. expensive, and traffic-slowing traffic light. Neighbors can also forget about parking on Breckinridge lane as that will be occupied almost immediately by the complex's "extra" cars, truck and RVs many of which will, by nature of being their "extra" vehicles, will be in disrepair and an eyesore.
