Reject the Proposed Lime Ridge Open Space FLOW Trails

No open flow trails! Walnut Creek does not need any additional traffic car or bicycle

Do not build a flow trail through this open space!

We have lived in the foothills for 25 years and love the peace and beautiful foothills. We have had fires caused by careless hikers. We do not want to increase the risk- protect our precious area. NO TO A Mountain flow trail

Stop ruining the natural beauty of WC!

The proposed flow trail doe not serve the greater community of Walnut Creek. Please don't allow this trail to be created.

Lime ridge is a sanctuary for peaceful communion with nature—away from all the hubris of our world. It is not meant to become an amusement park for thrill-seekers.

Strongly oppose, will be in my front yard

The tax paying public who keeps these open spaces viable should have a larger role in deciding the future of these spaces. There needs to be compliance first on existing trails before any new trails are built.

I vote against the proposed Lime Ridge open space flow trail. Stop it now.

I oppose this proposal because the trail should be for people to walk on and enjoy the scenery, NOT for bikers. I see those bikes without regards to those people taking their daily walk. Also have seen bikers almost hitting the trail walkers.

I live adjacent to Lime Ridge and worry about wild fires. It is a nightmare waiting to happen to have flow trails. Furthermore, I cannot fathom that the city would consider this menace to our pristine open space.

Please leave nature alone

It sounds like thrill seekers could get hurt and first responders have a difficult rescue environment. I’m concerned about wildlife effects too, as I’m aware of shrinking habitat and have even provided a small certified backyard wildlife habitat at my home on Navaronne Way.

Lime Ridge open space is like a BMX park. So much erosion and other distraction in plain view— it’s a shame

We must protect and preserve the natural beauty, natural habitat, and the beautiful wildlife that goes along with it all. We are so lucky to have an area that is so near our homes. Thrill seekers can find somewhere else to have their “adrenaline junky high” somewhere that won’t have such a negative impact on tons of local residents. With the pandemics 2nd year coming to a close, it doesn’t look like it will dilute and dissipate. Social distancing will continue to be necessary to keep us safe. It is important to get our body, spirit, and mind a little daily exercise. Doing so in a gym is no longer an option for my family, because of our medical issues. . The risk is not worth it. With the isolation the Pandemic caused, we started exploring the “hidden in plain sight” gem namely LIME RIDGE OPEN SPACE. Exercising outdoors where there is room for many to enjoy is safe, and the beautiful scenery is so calming that I’ve been able to decrease my blood pressure medication. That’s amazing to me. Keep the open space as it. It’s one of the few historical places right in our own backyard

Please leave Lime Ridge the way it is now. This is an area with tons of hikers, dogs, walkers of all ages. Mountain bikers can use Mount Diablo and many, many other trails. The best part of this area is that mountain bikers are limited.

Keep dirt bikes out of the Lime Ridge Open Space.

Protect our open space. It is not a bike rodeo place.

Please give mountain bikers their own area away from the rest of us who simply enjoy open space and not having to worry a biker will land on them at every hill or turn.
